But it is not sold directly from Walmart. Does that have any impact on warranty?

Good point.3rd party seller so no 90 day return period and you can't return it directly to Walmart.

You can now return many items at WM, from 3rd party sellers.

I returned my Ring 2 and got a Eufy and haven't looked back. I couldn't bring myself to paying for a subscription for my doorbell.

I installed one recently and perhaps because of my existing bell location (i.e. the power to the bell) and the angle it got placed, I am not getting any false alerts even without tuning for motion etc.

I bought it from Best Buy during the holidays for $60 (plus a Eco show thrown in for another $10 and a smart switch for $5) without realizing that was a great price. Now I wish I bought a second one.

I am not paying for subscription as I have a security system from Konnected.in that connects to SmartThings (the $10 pm of Ring looks OK if you have their home security too and Costco has a deal on that). I am just using Ring bell in real time to decide if I need to go to the door or ignore some unwanted solicitations.

If you own the security system along with doorbells and outdoor floodlight/ spotlight/ cameras, $10 a month is actually very cheap compared to other home monitoring systems. I pay $100 per year upfront instead, so that makes the cost only $8.33 per month to monitor my alarm system, smoke/fire detectors, 2 outdoor spotlight cameras, and 2 doorbells. I can continue to add unlimited ring products without an increase in the annual cost. If you are only interested in one ring item, such as a doorbell, then it's only $3 per month ($30/year = $2.50/month). Plus, Ring offers great troubleshooting/support for its products. I stripped a screw to my doorbell and they sent me an entirely new unit as a replacement. And I like that they will replace stolen outdoor items at no cost to the consumer, which makes me feel more secure in placing expensive equipment outside.

Anybody know battery options? I don't have power anywhere near my door, so I was looking for a battery option.

Only one I've found is Wuuk. Hasn't shipped yet, so there's that.

Ring plus is $10/mo which includes professionally monitored fire, flood and burglary protection, if you buy the ring security kit. Assuming you own a home, it is very likely that your insurance company will give you a discount on your homeowners. I saved 84 dollars which brings down the annual cost of ring to 36 dollars. Ring brings a lot of value for $3/mo, especially with cellular backup included.

Touché, I saw Ring and assumed wired. Didn't even look at description.
Thanks.
