That's $0.41/ounce.

Amazon has the 32 ounce for $12.47

https://www.amazon.com/STA-BIL-22...747&sr=8-3

Thats $0.39/ounce.

This stuff starts aging (turns dark) as soon as it is exposed to air, so unless you need to treat a lot of gas, you might not get any more use from 12 ounces than 4.

Exactly, and even without opening it, it has a shelf life. I bought the larger bottle last year for my snowblower and I didn't get enough snow to use my blower last year or this year (yet), so I'm probably going to have to dump the bottle without even opening it.

Amazon is at their lowest price [amazon.com] that they have been at $2.72 (matched Walmart) or $2.31 w/ S&S for those who don't have a Lowes near them with inventory.

What's the typical shelf life of these if not open and stored away?

Anyone off hand know the difference between this and the red storage stabil and grayish marine stabil? I've been using the red which says not to store past two years but hearing there is a shelf life on this doesn't make me want to switch over.

This 4-ounce bottle treats up to 5 gallons of fuel
1-ounce treats 1 gallon of fuel

Someone needs to go back to math class.
