Wouldn't recommend unless you have top of the line internet speeds.
This operates over your LAN. If you are not playing online, then your internet speed doesn't matter. If you are playing online, then the internet speeds needed are no greater than playing the game natively on the PC.

It's just like Steam Link, except using the Xbox as the client machine. If you have ever used Steam Link, you know ethernet is the best way. Wifi will suck.

While this is great for people whose TVs/xboxs are a distance away from each other

Does this have any practical benefit for people whose pcs are near enoguh that they can jsut connect them to the TV with an hdmi cable?

Very interesting!!! I'm be waiting for something like this, now would games on battle.net work ? Such as world of Warcraft, or Warcraft 3 reforged ?

Edit: I'll have to look in to it more when I get more time but but on the website it shows the battle.net launcher as compatible!

I think that's kind of a moot point since you're not playing either of those games with an Xbox controller

Even if this somehow allows you to remotely use a mouse and keyboard, using a mouse and keyboard from a couch opens up a whole pain in the ass of issues

They mean bandwidth.... in which case streaming to your xbox from your pc and using the internet are going to double (or more) the network bandwidth required.
No, they don't. They are dumb and probably thinking like stadia and meant internet. Which this uses none.

Serious question, is this essentially same you can do with Shield TV or Steam game streaming that many can do on tv, RaspberryPi, Android, or even my Apple TV? Or is it something completely different? Doesn't Microsoft also have a wireless display app for playing pc games to an Xbox?

Yes. Someone above said the same thing.
