In my local Lowe's (75703), I found the 5/6" recessed lights on clearance for $3.24 each in the single pack. Listed online for $12.98 each. I bought all 46 in stock. YMMV.

I've had poor luck with these. Light is fine but longevity with mine have been poor. I've been replacing about 3 (of the 9 in my kitchen) per year. Find a place to store the receipt and boxes for warranty claims. Likely still 'worth it' at this price, but understand what you're getting.

These are led retrofits for already installed recessed lighting.

these are good. I replaced all our old 90s canned lights with these retros. Unfortunately I paid the full price.

I currently have screwed regular led bulbs into my recessed lighting. Is this just supposed to look better?

I purchased the 3 Pack a few weeks ago @ $9.98 and they are the real deal. These have much less heat sink material & fins on the back of the light than order Utilitech, but these lights dim lower than any LED that I have seen to date. Most LEDs only dim ~ 25% but these dim to ~ 95%. I don't have a meter other than my eyeballs but my kids all commented that the range of these was like "normal" light bulbs.

not only do they look better, they also distribute light better than a screwed in bulb...

If within 3 months, buy new ones and return with old receipt. Customer Service might even match the price with your old receipt and give you money back, but it depends on the worker knowing how to do it.
