I went to one store and they had only 1 left. The store down the street had 5 of each so I bought all but 1. My daughter and I spent 6 hours last night shooting and testing them. Most are junk, but fun to shoot. I must say the beeman single shot has the best trigger of any hand gun I have owned, but its pretty inaccurate from shot to shot.

WM is delegitimizing recreational shooting as an acceptable youth activity.

It's probably a purely financial decision, based on revenue per sq. inch of shelf space, (this is WM, after all), but with a secondary effect.

Then again, discontinuation of all "pistol caliber" ammunition (incl. 5.56 NATO) was a purely political decision.

I couldn't care less if Walmart has an opinion on the shooting sports, which I doubt they do beyond is there enough demand to justify them continuing to carry those items. My local Wally still sells hunting type long guns, firearms accessories, reloading supplies, hunting supplies, BB guns and both pistol and rifle ammo. I'll keep buying stuff there if they have the best prices on what I need.

I don't think Walmart is on any mission to end recreational shooting, so much as they want to seem concerned and proactive in dealing with the recent shootings in their stores to keep their customer base happy and protect their market share. Simple retail 101.
