I would suggest you pass on this soundbar. It's okay but I regret getting it. It's very underwhelming for the size and price. It does get loud but if I could have gotten a full refund, I would have gotten something else for sure.

Just to add more info, below are some issues I have had.
1. Sub cuts in and out. I have tried every suggestion and it is much better than when I first set it up. However, it still occasionally cuts out.
2. Surround sound speaker add ons seem to interfere with wifi. On GWifi it would completely stop my internet. Tried a few other routers and I have something that seems to work. However, the satellite speakers cut out regularly for a few seconds.
3. Atmos is pure gimmick. It throws sound upwards but has the same effect as if you just turn the sound up. No directional value at all.
4. Volume for each sound setting is all over the place. On movie mode, around 12 is good volume. On ASC, the equivalent is around 35. This makes it so you never want to change the settings.
5. Size is ridiculously large, both in width and depth. It is so deep that I couldn't mount it on the wall unless I want to have to worry bumping into it. It is about 6 inches deep but with wires and brackets, it will be closer to 7 inches. This soundbar definitely is not good for wall mounts. It is also 4 ft wide, making it difficult to fit in all rooms.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I was considering this because I have the LG C8 OLED and thought it might be better to get a LG soundbar. Which other soundbar would you have gotten instead?

Some options I was considering if I was to try to sell and buy a new soundbar include the following.

1. Vizio: Slim profile and seems pretty decent sound at a very affordable price when compared to some of the competitors.
2. Bose: the series 500 and 700 sounded pretty good and I could tell spatial cues well. I like the glass top and design elements of it too. The price is kind of ridiculous though.
3. Sonos: Soundbar is missing hdmi and ARC support. The satellite speakers are all wirelessly linked. Fairly expensive as well.

I would have to agree with the sound cutting out. I have a 4.1 with the extra wireless surround speakers and both the subwoofer and the rear speakers cut out at times. It is a shame even the expensive units have this issue. I have a vizio 5.1 in my parents house and it works better without cutting off even though it is older than the LG.

Agreed. I have multiple friends and families with Sonos setup and I've never noticed any cut out on their set up.

How are the Samsung soundbars compared to LG, and do they work seamlessly with a LG C8?

No, it was a Sony. All the problems presented were not due to the connection with tv, but rather defects stemming from the soundbar.

I got the same soundbar and agree with the issues. It's a solid sound bar but not for full price. At this price, it's OK. I feel like I got lucky since my sub never cuts out, but still wait for better models to drop in price IMO.

If I could do it all over, I would probably go full home theater set up.

If the refurb fixes the Bluetooth connectivity issues between the bar and sub, then this is a great sound bar. However, I went through two sound bars and each one had the same issue - the sun constantly cut out.

Don't get the Vizio 5.1.4 one if you are worried about sound cutoff. Pure junk.
