Typical SD response would be, brings my 802.11B to WIFI 6 and no HDMI kills it.

This moves the woodworking router up and down relative to the woodworking router table. This way, it will adjust the bit position relative to the stock you are routing/shaping.

Not necessary. Just more convenient to adjust the height of the router bit when mounted to the underside of a table

The master lift is $300+, this one is normally $200. Still a good deal though.

if you want to build your own router table, sure.

if not, you can just buy one for around the same price as this + materials.

That's also shipped and sold by woodcraft. They just roll the shipping in and offer it as free shipping. Adding to my cart on woodcraft . Com brings it to the same price as amazon with "free shipping "

historic price data from 3c on this item shows that it is consistently around this price, which was the point i was getting it.

All depends on your needs.

If you have a router/table combo you like and want more control and ease of access for bit changes, then it's worth looking into and this is a very good deal.

If you're looking to build a router table set-up from scratch, I would look in to the Triton routers. I love mine and the money I saved on a lift, I put into a cast iron table - can't believe the difference and wish I had done so sooner. With this said, if you need to do routing with bits 3"+ wide (I think Tritons mouth is 3-1/8" wide or so), go with a different router and probably a beafier lift than this.
