why don't they ever put memory storage on these things? These are for mostly listening to music right? Storage chips are tiny these days, it wouldn't take much to slap one in on the circuit board. Tired of carrying my phone while running.
Good idea, but try a smart watch. That was my main reason for getting an Apple Watch and it's been amazing without a phone running and at the gym.

Costs, and most probably pair with phone/DAP. My music folder is about 1400 strong, which is a pain to shuffle. I wouldn't pay more for storage.

You would need a lot more than just storage in order to play music off these. You would need a processor to decode the sound files, manage song library, etc. Right now that's all done on your phone. In the future I'm sure it can be possible

Similar deal is available on Amazon - Black as well as Gold color are available.

Edit: Just realized that OP's post is for 10,000 mAh battery pack. The Amazon link is for 5000 mAh with a USB hub.

Samsung already did it... years ago. Gear Iconx. Even the Galaxy Watches can store/play songs off storage.

A feature on the airpod is critical if you are a man. You need to be able go fit it in your pocket without too much intrusion. No way on the Sony . What does that mean? That mean you wont be carrying your headphone with you as much . Then why not get a over the ear headphone. I returned my Sony after seeing how big the case is, it totally defeat the purpose. For the AirPod, i don't even notice it in my pocket. You will say .. oh but i don't need to carry my case . Well good luck looking for the earpieces . You will lose them. Unless you are one of those who just wear the ear piece 24/7 .
I don't understand the issue. Pants, jeans, and sweats can accommodate large phones -- including the N10 or 7 Pro. Wear size 30 so not a big person.

Women's pants suffer from lack of storage, which would make for a good argument. Men, on the other hand, always have 2-4+ pockets from pants alone.

How are these compared to the Airpods Pro
everyones gonna give their biased opinion or link to websites that give their answer. I say if you can, get both and test them both out back to back. I did that with Airpod Pro and these WF-1000XM3 and I found that I liked the Airpod Pros WAY more. I thought Airpod Pros had better ANC and better sound quality.

ANC, bass and battery life was great. The mic was horrible, could not take calls on these so returned them.

I bought renewed from Amazon Warehouse for 130ish a while back, also can endorse. They are not as isolating as Bose QC 35 and the others can be as these are still just earbuds not actually cans covering (passively isolating), but still pretty good.

Anyone have any experience talking through these? Can the person on the other end hear okay? how about background noise? One of the downsides of my over the ear XM2's.
After the latest update, they are definitely useable for phone calls. I use these for work calls (quite often since I'm in Sales), especially when I'm in my daily driver (slightly modded 2000 Civic Si with exhaust). When I first got them, they were completely useless for phone calls unless I was in complete silence, with people complaining the quality was terrible and they just couldn't hear a word I was saying. Now, after the update, I'm able to use them even in my car with all the road, wind and exhaust noise/drone on the freeway (just imagine about 4.5K RPMs in an old car with little sound deadening). That was the true test, and they now pass with flying colors!
