How are these for workout...bulky and falling out?
While it has been a few months since my last trip to the actual gym, I have used these a few times on runs around the neighborhood (anywhere from 1-3 miles or so). They have yet to come loose in my ears. Although, I should probably add that my ears don't sweat as much as some people's might. I would say I'm just an "average sweater." Haha!

Debating if I should get. I have the AMEX $20 off $50.
Using Powerbeats Pro at work. I moved around and walk constantly. Just wish it had ANC.
MAYBE the 2nd gen will have?

everyones gonna give their biased opinion or link to websites that give their answer. I say if you can, get both and test them both out back to back. I did that with Airpod Pro and these WF-1000XM3 and I found that I liked the Airpod Pros WAY more. I thought Airpod Pros had better ANC and better sound quality.
Wow. I guess it is preference. The "majority" of reviews says the Sony has better sound and ANC.
TY for your input.

No problem! I found that the Sonys had a very digital sound if that makes sense but the Apple clarity was warm. I've never even used "warm" to describe sound but the Airpod Pros were just that. Granted, for $100 less, the Sony's are absolutely a great deal.

Wrong. Sony with my iPhone are going strong and love my XM3.
Is there any lag when watching vids on your iPhone?

Sony are a no go for iPhones.....
I don't think there is a single feature missing by combining these with an iphone. The opposite however is the reason why I skipped on the Airpod Pro's for my android phone.

On an android phone with Airpod Pros you lose:

All customization. There is no Airpod android app like Sony's headphone app so you're stuck with the stock configuration. No equalizer tweeks for you.

No ability to use the 'ear analysis' feature that checks for optimal fit.

No battery level indicator which is frankly ridiculous.

You get ANC, Transparency mode, and stock configuration. With the Sony headphones app you can tweek the earphones to your liking on both Android and iOS.

Fitting is very bad, not for workout

If anyone is just interested in the Sonys without the extra stuff, Greentoe.com (via authorized seller) accepted my $170 for the earphones.

For what it's worth, I bought these on Black Friday. Let me say, these are amazing. Battery life is great, fit is perfect, and audio quality is superb. One of my favorite features is the audio passthrough feature that lets you hear the outside world with these in. The other is the fact you can use either left or right as a single bud, as they both connect to the device independently, unlike others like the Jabra where the left connects to the right bud, meaning you can only use the right if you want to use a single bud.

At first call quality was complete crap on these Sonys, but they just came out with an update about 2 weeks ago that (surprisingly) actually fixed it. So these are all around perfect now. And for those that say you can't do any strenuous activities with them because they'll fall out of your ears, that hasn't been the case for me. I've gone for multiple runs and they never budge even with the stock rubber tips. Now, every ear is different, so I suppose ymmv, but just giving my two cents. If you're in the market for true wireless, look no further.
Rolling tips ain't bad. You take a bit of a ding on ANC effectiveness but otherwise my complies have kept it snug.

After reading the comments and rtings, reviews, I guess I will stick to my Samsung Galaxy buds, which are of course fit better than this, lighter, and almost same sound and call quality, also true wireless, I always use either left or right for long calls and in Gym.
Just a few days back Samsung push some firmware and after that the call quality improved a bit.

I originally bought the airpods pro, and immediately noticed that some songs didn't come through very well, felt very dull and "small room". Compared it with my friend's Sony XM3s side by side, and it was night and day. I returned the airpods pros the next day and switched to the XM3s.

If you just listen to mainstream pop it probably won't make a difference but for me it was huge. Here's an example song that made me switch (skip to 2:50)
