Before all of the fanboys of insert color here come out.

Ridgid is just as good as all the other colors in my opinion having used and owned pretty much all of them each year( tradesman). However the lineup is not as extensive as Milwaukee/dewalt/ect.

I have gone through the warranty process 3 times and always have not had a major problem but you need to register your tools on the website within 90 days. Also helps to upload your receipt for records, they will ask/need it. The call center is in georgia/south Carolina and everyone I have talked to has been nice and helpful. This was the reason I originally went with ridgid I was tired of buying batteries that were more expensive than the tools themselves.

If the ridgid line fits your needs I think it's hard beat as long as you register them. Also if it applies to your location use Home dept 11% match for the menards 11% rebate this week.

edit: 11% match only works on instore purchases sorry for any confusion.

Ryobi, Ridgid and Milwaukee are all the same company. Ryobi is homeowner grade and doesn't have the power of Ridgid or Milwaukee tools. Ridgid has the same power levels as milwaukee when you look at their torque and speed specs. But Ridgid tools are larger. Milwaukee has top notch build quality, and puts up big torque numbers. But managed to shrink the tools into a smaller, slimmer and lighter package. Milwaukee is awesome and if I were a professional working with these tools everyday. I would get Milwaukee. But for someone that doesn't use these tools every day, Ridgid still gives you the same performance levels as Milwaukee, and the added bulk and slightly lower build quality really isn't an issue. Ridgid is considered a prosumer brand.

The problem with Dewalt, is that they make prosumer and professional grade tools all under the same brand, Dewalt. Sometimes it's hard to tell what's good and what's meh in their lineup unless you really follow their tools. Dewalt has a mix of tools which would be comparable to Ridgid and Milwaukee depending on which tool you buy.

That's my opinion, take it for what's it's worth.

Weird, for being POS's, the batteries have lasted longer than any other brand of cordless power tool I have owned(going on 5 years) AND all RIGID power tools(including batteries) I own have a lifetime warranty.

Not sure how a company could stay in business for so long selling POS tools that also come with a lifetime warranty, INCLUDING BATTERIES.

Good deal on the Ego Blower. I missed out last time, will probably jump on this as I'm a new homeowner wanted to commit to Ego Lawn Equipment. Anyone know if Trimmer is a good deal?

The LED work light was too good of a deal for me to pass up at $10, since I already have 18v tools.

They were on sale Sunday too and obviously made it thru that first day of sale

waiting for some fool to come on and tell us that if he is using a Ridgid work light instead of Milwaukee he will be "laughed off the job site"
Apparently tradesmen are just as brand conscious and stuck up as the fools who buy Gucci etc
