I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for a better screen... Good price, though.

Anyone know how is the build quality?
I don't need one until the beginning of April.
I noticed a trend when new models usually come out at this time of the year. Am I wrong?
Should I jump on this right now?

P. S. Need it for college and use PowerPoint for drawing

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this looks to support RAM upgrades (2 slots), NVME SSD and SATA available, supports Active Pen/Stylus (not included), and supports USB Type-C DisplayPort and Power Delivery for one cable docking. Looks pretty good for $400

How does this compare to when the Motile Ryzen 5 from Walmart? Especially when it drops to $300?

Does anyone know if the 5000 series has a metal build? I know the 7000 does but wasn't sure if the 5000 had gone that route.

Edit - looks like the palm rest is metal but not the full body.

This looks to be the pen they're selling you with this:
https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...tablet-pcs

This is a pen that is both Wacom AES and Microsoft Pen Protocol / Surface Pen / N-Trig compatible, so not sure which digitizer this 2-in-1 has.

This looks like a good deal since it is a 2-in-1 from a "reputable" brand with warranty you can trust, touch screen and pen support, and USB Type-C with both Display Port and Power Delivery, so you can charge it via USB Type C or dock it with a USB Type C dock with a single cable to charge, connect USB devices, and provide Video Out. It also looks to be upgradeable, as I've heard of the Motile, with this Dell having 2 RAM slots, m.2, and SATA.

Looks pretty good. They are probably trying to clear out before ryzen mobile 4000 series hits.

Ive got the 5491 version of the Inspiron 5000 and the build quality is pretty good overall. The ryzen 3500u obviously is behind the 10th gen i7 the 5491 is configured with but I dont think the better processor and bigger ssd is worth almost twice the price (paid 699 on sale). There's not much out there for 400 at this level of quality... Upgrading it is dead simple.

For context this is $449 on Amazon so not quite the massive discount the Dell site would lead you to believe.

I purchased the i5-10210u, 12gb ram, and 256 ssd configuration of this and I really like it so far. It cost me 510 + tax.
