Just a brief overview of what is this Geforce Now (GFN) service is: It's a cloud computing service for gaming, which means the Nvidia data center will run your games at their facility and stream the video to your device(s). Compared to other known services (like Google's Stadia), this service is considerably beneficial for gamers already built a good steam/epic/uplay library. GFN can access your game library service and let you play where you left on. If you are interested there are multiple reviews on GFN and you can read on:

https://www.theverge.com/2020/2/4...f-beta-rtx
https://www.pcmag.com/news/nvidia...l-for-free
https://www.ign.com/articles/nvid...now-review
https://9to5google.com/2020/02/07...-hands-on/
https://www.pcgamer.com/geforce-n...should-be/

Currently, it supports PC, Mac, Android and Nvidia Shield (holding my iPhone LMAO)

But, with some tweaks and hacks (based on this Youtube Video [youtube.com]), here's my experience with GFN on my Nintendo Switch:

After some initial figuring out, I got my Nintendo Switch with an Android System (+ Nvidia Shield Identifier). Man, this Geforce Now just completely changed my switch to a whole new level. I can now play most of my steam games on my Switch, with the maximum setting, little to none lags. I don't even need a powerful PC to run the games locally. If you have played any big titles on Switch in portable mode, you know the visuals look like crap. But with GFN, everything is done in Nvidia data center, with the powerful Tesla P40 GPU. I can max out all the settings on Borderlands 3 and still get 85+FPS. And it looks great on the 720P screen.LMAO Not to mention the docked mode on TV looks amazing now.

Another benefit of running games on the cloud is less power consumption. If I run any games on my Switch portable, it only can last about 2-3 hours. Since GFN is basically a streaming service, most heavy lifting is actually not done on my Switch. I can get it run for 4~5 hours using GFN.

Granted, some games are not supported for GFN and even some supported ones may not be optimized for android. But if you check the Nvidia forum, they are constantly expanding the game library. As far as I can tell, it's much better compared to Google's stadia.

Personally, I think this + switch is probably the best thing and nothing can beat it as a (portable) console.

So, can your switch do this:

If you are considering stadia but didn't want to bother because you already had games on steam...do it ....do it now. The quality is absurd. If your a commuter and will get a 5G phone do it. If your PC master race with a busted PC and a great 5ghz wifi connection do it. Check out the sample below make sure you turn up the quality.

For the record I have a rtx2070 and stadia. But you know what I can't take that pc with me everywhere and stadia has been disappointing.

FYI, when you go to boot a game and it asks you to install, just click install. It will install to their machine in under a second and you'll be ready to play. You don't need any game files locally.

Connection for me was brutal and I usually can stream games fine from stuff like Project Stream, PS4 Remote Play, In Home Streaming, Etc. 100mbps connection on 5ghz router.

I don't really see myself using this too often, but it is cool to know I can set my lower end PCs up and have them load a game if necessary.

I wanted to try out Witcher 3 but it was only giving me an option to login through Steam which I don't have Witcher on (GoG). Anyone know if platforms other than steam are supported?

I looked at the website and I still don't know what this is. What games are we talkng about: My steam, origin, etc accounts or whatever store Nvidia has? How's the streaming connection? Laggy like Stadia?

Still on Stadia Founders trial, will revisit once it expires. I see some feedback on Reddit that it is just like Stadia having a rough start

Yes Steam, Blizzard, and Ubisoft games. It's trash over anything but 5ghz wifi. But over 5ghz it's crazy good. For your consideration check my other post and video.

You can add any cd keys to Steam and have the game on that platform.
