Sadly, it seems likely that this model comes with the 300 nit display, NOT the brighter 500-nit panel. All the same, it seems like an all time low price, without debating 2070 Max-Q benchmarks vs previous gen 1070 and full powered non-Max-Q 2060 mobile GPUs.

The generic specs are listed for the model with the 9th generation Intel i7, not the older 8th. I think the 500 nit screen came out in spring 2019 and this is an older spec prebuilt model. By all means, contact Lenovo. If it came with the 500-nit screen I'd jump on it myself but all of the reviews pointed to a 300 nit screen and Lenovo specifically states "HDR 400" and "500-nits" when that screen is present. For reference only: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/lapt...8GMY701059

Yup, because i have that one, by choice, i won't go back to 300 without gsync. Go to costco and see the floor model in action.

OOS...interesting note about this laptop is that apparently the battery from the 17" model actually fits into the 15" chassis. You lose the 2.5" drive bay but it's an option if ure looking for better battery life

I'm not sure on that. the batterie is mediocre at best. it lasts maybe 3 hours while browsing and an hour while gaming. plus you have FPS drop on top of that but that seems to be normal for gaming laptops. the main reason I bought it was for the bigger screen of course and the heat dissipation The fans are super quiet as well, especially compared to other gaming laptops I've tried.
