Thinking about moving to PS4 from XBONE . . . is this the newest and best (just says CUH-7000 series)? Overall, my Switch is so much less annoying and more fun (largely due to fewer updates and nags) but I miss the higher end graphics.
I'd hold off at this point. The PS5 is releasing this year and will be backwards compatible with PS4. $300 is too much to be spending on a system that will be on the way out in a few months IMHO.

I was thinking the same thing. I should have bought it when it was $250...

Generally I'd agree with this. However, the PS5 is supposed to release during the holiday season which would be 10 months from now. The PS4 trade in value is $250 with GameStop. So if the PS5 comes out and you can trade in the PS4 for $250 you are down $50 but got to play games over the next 10 months.

There's no way trade-in will still be $250 once the next generation is released.

...Let me tell you how much the 32X was worth once Saturn came out 10 months later yummy

Assuming Gamestop will last that long to trade in.

In November 1994, it was $159.99.
Sega Saturn was released in May 1995.
I bought the 32X (new) September 1995 from Toys R Us for $29.99.

Now, not saying that the PS4 Pro will depreciate > 80% in 10 months, but typically consoles lose significant value with the release of a new generation.

You are making too much sense. Get ready for the senseless to disagree with you.

Not super slick. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sony-P.../562745471 [walmart.com]
CUH-7115(b) is not the newest version. The PS4 Pro with revised and better heat management and quieter is the CUH-7215B. So I don't know what version ships with WOOT, but thats the reason for the discount on your link.

HDR is the other main selling point along with it being able to play many of the 1080p games with a faster framerate. Just like folks that use a Fire Stick 4K to play only 1080p because it does a better, smoother job than the regular firestick.
