Not a deal. Got this for $90 not very long ago. AND it doesn't work in with my motherboard/CPU. Newegg sucks for returns. You HAVE to check your motherboard's QVL list. Ryzen first gen are a total pain in the arse for memory compatibility. I emailed Oloy and they were completely useless for giving me any guidance on motherboards that do work with their memory. Third gen Ryzen and the newer motherboards are much more tolerant and I have seen people in forums make this memory work but I also know of at least one person with a 3rd gen ryzen and an x570 motherboard where it wouldn't work.
I have to strongly disagree. I have recently made the jump to this brand and could not be happier. My ram was not listed on the motherboard approved list and it runs at 3200 MHZ right out of the box, 32gb. Lots and lots of people have reported that this brand works perfectly and free of memory errors. Its a no namer and I am sure there is a risk, but around 100 bucks, this is a really good deal.

What generation CPU do you have and what motherboard? First gen ryzen should not take a flyer on this. I spent many many hours troubleshooting this and going through forums. Third gen ryzen with at least a B450 motherboard but probably preferable x570 might be worth it. I actually still have my 4 chips of 16gb sitting on my desk and I will be trying an x570 ryzen 7 3700x soon. You can go through the newegg reviews and see what combos definitely work and it looks like it is third gen ryzen that people have most success with, and my email with Oloy seemed to imply they only officially support 3rd gen with this memory. Even says something to that effect on product page:
Intel & Ryzen 3rd gen and above compatible

I always see people talking about RAM not working with AMD CPUs, but never anyone mentioning any compatibility issues with Intel CPUs. I have a new build with a 9700k and MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC board, would it be reasonable to expect this RAM to work out of the box without any problems?

Getting one for my ryzen 5 3600x built. I have Asus x570 TUF gaming, hopefully this is compatible. Does anyone know if 3200 vs 3600 has a big difference in terms of performance?

Yes, also, the Ryzen issues are on the 14nm and 12nm Ryzen. 3000 series 7nm Ryzen has fixed the issues. A lot of it falls on the processor, not the motherboard, it's something they made big improvements on with the latest gen.

The reason intel has no issues is because they've basically been selling the same processors for nearly a decade. They've had time to dial it in, something Ryzen is catching up on, only they're on 7nm, not 14+++++++++++++++++++++ or whatever intel is on now (/s)

3rd gen 3700x. I tried it on my 2700x that I have at home on a prev gen board and it was stable. I only tried it for a day. 3700x has been stable mining even with gaming and productivity for a few weeks now.

Intel CPUs and motherboards don't have this problem. Dealing with problematic CPUs and motherboards and offering support for them isn't OLOy's responsibility, here. QVL lists are usually worthless and outdated.

And I just tried it on a 2700 I got from Newegg today and it fails.

If they want to sell their product they should take some responsibility. It's absolutely ridiculous when I email them and ask what motherboards has your product been known to work with and they can't tell me.

If these are Samsung C-die like reported, they should work decently with any of the _____lake processors. Reported to be okay with Ryzen but YMMV. It's believed not to scale well over-volting it unlike some of the other ICs.

These are likely dual rank dimms so they may be more difficult overclocking. Especially on older generation CPUs and motherboards. Again YMMV.
