This is currently $100 cheaper than the Black Friday price. As usual, the best deals can be found in the open box section ($278.99 for open box excellent).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Not being snide, but you probably have not owned a Chromebook then. Ours just ran past its end of life date (owned it for over 5 years) thats why I posted. The individual that uses it liked it so much picked up the Costco HP x360 one for 300 this past week.

Just as a heads up to Chromebook buyers the end of life use to be 5 years it was upped to 6.5 but its only from the time the line was released not the date you purchase the Chromebook.

Bought the HP 14" 2-in-1 i3 8gb/64gb Black Friday special as a backup.

I buy hundreds every year and give them to kids who use them non-stop during the school year. They are easily lasting until their end of life dates in the hands of teenagers.

I would not expect any chromebook to last for more than 3 years.

This gets great reviews, seems like the only knock is it's a bit heavy. I don't care about the weight so I'm in for one. Nice specs for $350.

Dell checked almost all the boxes with this CB (i3, 2 in 1, backlit kb, HD screen) then only added 4gb RAM. Ugh!

Chromebooks receive security/system updates for 6.5 years from their release date after that time Google ceases to push updates.

I believe I just read that a couple newer models are actually 2028, so 8 yrs.

Hey I've been considering to buy the HP you mentioned to replace a broken Samsung Chromebook Plus. A lot of reviews complain about the display being poor. Is that true? Do you have any issues with it and would you prefer the HP over this or vice versa?

If you don't want the 2 in 1 aspect, you can get an i5 with 8gb of ram for $50 more.
