Amazon has the Corsair K95 with Cherry MX Brown switches at 109.99 with free shipping and free 1 day shipping for prime members. This is a return to previous prime day pricing, likely due to the new K95 XT arriving on the market. Brown switches for those who enjoy the tactile bump, but need to be able to hear sounds other than typing.

I want a mechanical keyboard with Cherry Brown switches, but don't need all the fancy lights and features of this one. Is it likely I can find a deal better than this on a Cherry Brown keyboard without all the features, or is this as good as I'm going to find?

I got my K70 with red switches for $65 refurbished from Corsair. You might find a similar deal with brown switches if your patient enough.

I prefer MX Brown. More clicky than red, but less clicky than blue. It's nice middle of the road.

Best way to find out is go to your local bestbuy and try few of them out see how you like the feel.
Red has no tactile click at all. It is just a linear press. Blue is clickiest but loud. Brown is the perfect compromise in my opinion. It clicks, but it doesn't drive your woman insane.

Or just plug it directly into your computer like all keyboards should?
Have no idea what you are talking about, but my MSI X370 couldn't supply enough power to the keyboard even using 2 usb ports.

Has anyone gotten theirs yet? The volume scroll wheel on mine is "crunchy". The wheel on my K70 is perfectly smooth. I'm thinking I should return it for another one. I don't want to deal with RMA BS.

Leopold is supposed to be the best stock keyboard made at the moment. Also have more size options like full size, 1800, tkl, and 65%

I decided to place another order online at Best Buy. I'll return the first one and inspect the second one before I leave the store. If the second one also has a bad volume wheel I am going to give up and stick with my K70 for now.

Thanks for the recommendation. I see the Leopold's are around $124 with brown switches on a full keyboard. Are there ever deals on those? How low do they go?

I went to Best Buy tonight to return the first one and inspect the second one. The volume knob on the second one was smoother than the first but it still wasn't perfect. I decided to not take it. I'll stick with my K70 with red switches for now unfortunately. I really like the K95 but the quality control seems to be lacking. Granted the issue is minor but for $110 I don't expect the volume knob to be clicking right out of the box.

My K70 vol scroll is also clicky. I think they are suppose to be that way

My K70 is perfectly smooth. As is my G.Skill mechanical keyboard which I believe is a Corsair clone. I did search on Google and found a few threads about it. It seems there is a piece of plastic under the wheel causing the issue. I could probably fix it myself but I don't feel like taking the risk of damaging it.

It worked well with the $10 cash back offer through Amex when you purchase it from bestbuy.

Just got mine today. Missing F5 key and clearly used.. They didn't even bother cleaning it up. Wonder if the store will exchange for a new one.
