I read the comments. It sounds like the Mint SIM card can be activated with an app? So if I can get this SIM card while I'm overseas, can I activate it with the app.. and use it to receive text messages while I'm still overseas? I need a way to get text messages with a U.S number while I'm traveling overseas. Also, is the phone number you get from Mint blocked on many apps? My problem right now is Google Voice is blocked from registering on some apps.
No. Needs to be activated connected to US Tmobile first. And then the whole roaming thing.

If the SIM card was made in China, then I do not want it.

All the cheap prepaid companies either use T-Mobile or Sprint. Sprint MVNOs byfar are the worst, not to mention Sprint itself.

I just got mine today and its slowwwwwwwww compared to AT&T. I configured everything how they explain in the setup guide. I'm about to throw this sim in the trash unless anyone has any ideas on the speed issue?

Going to give US Mobile a shot since they use Verizon's towers.

Do I absolutely HAVE to use the SIM within 45 days of the order date ? What if I used it within like 3-4 months of ordering them ?

Not for the trial sim, but for the regular sims, yes.

Mint Mobile is fine until there is an issue, and that is when you begin to understand how the service is so cheap. Support is a nightmare, in my experience. Activated 10 days ago, and text messaging still does not work. Mint has been absolutely useless in resolving the (carrier-side) issue.

Have you been over to the MintMobile subreddit? MintMobileAlex is very helpful.

Yes, and while they did attempt to help, it was eventually "passed on to the tech team". It's been several days now without any change.

I think, The SIM card has an activation date on it, the one I received from super bowl promotion had a date on it.
