I bought this product and received it about 11 days ago. Work as expected. I could try and answer some of the questions about it, if people have any.

Is it easy to install.

Does this alert motion/record clips of people standing at door or passing by in front of it.

Basically does it record/notify of events when the bell isn't pressed ?

Yes but you can turn off the motion detection.

I bought this after having the Ring Pro for a few years, and feel like I made a good decision. My Ring would always lock up when trying to get footage after getting an alert, and then the video would always end up missing when trying to view it after. I changed the transformer in my 2 year old house at the time and moved my Ubiquiti AP closer just to test, but had no luck.

I didn't even mind paying a monthly subscription for a doorbell that would work well, but this popped up so I decided to jump on it as the wife has been asking for another doorbell the last few months since the Ring died. Initial reactions are notifications are quicker, actually pull up when opening the app through the notification, and the image is better. I barely installed it yesterday so time will tell how it continues to work.

I originally did not want Eufy because if someone stole the doorbell I would be without footage, but the homebase fixes that. I do wish it would have the 3 seconds pre-recording, but I am hoping they will add it ot a future update. If not so far it works well enough without it, and I have IP cameras wired as well to see the people before even getting to the viewing area of the doorbell camera.

My only real gripe so far is the FOV is not as wide, but using the included angled bracket brought it back to where the Ring was. The angle bracket does make it slighty less aesthetically appealing but the WAF was still good. I also did have to keep the backplate from the Ring as the one that came with the Eufy was too slim for the hole in my exterior wall.
FYI I got direct email reply from eufy, 3s prerecord is hardware based not software and new model doesn't have those innards so will NEVER come to wireless model even when it's wired.

That's a total bummer to hear, but the instant notifications make it up for me compared to the Ring Pro I had. If I did not have IP cameras recording 24/7 it would be a harder decision.

Set this up at the house today. Very impressed with the app and streaming quality. Needed to plug in the home base with Ethernet, which was a bit annoying, but after that it was set and ready to go and was plenty loud throughout the house. I may pick up additional chimes, we will see as time goes on. One qwirk I had was that the wires from my old door bell were short so I needed to add the attachment and was a tight squeeze even adding the 15 degree wedge. I didn't want to drill a hole into the house so just sorta jammed it in there and it took.

You can connect it to the WiFi after you're done setting up via Ethernet.

Yup yup! That is my plan Smilie

I am pretty to get others insight into actually securing this device so people don't steal it. There is the "anti-theft" lock that you need to take it off, but that is about it. How do other smart doorbells stack up?

I was thinking of getting a few other eufy cameras for outside that work with the base, so that would probably help.

Has anyone's doorbell keep getting Off Line? Mine has been Off Line and required restart twice in the last 3 weeks. The home base is closed to the doorbell and WiFi is strong, so I'm not sure what the issue is

I returned this one and ordered V1 without the home base. V1 is much better. This one is not ready for prime time just yet.

Bought this during the sale.... it needed to recharge after 54 days with an average of 19 motions detected per day. That's about twice as high as the estimated average detected motions. I would have expected a reduction to 90 days out of 180 days advertised.... not less than 2 months...
