Obviously, you have no idea how they work! Your privacy invaded? You do understand there is no expectation of privacy in the public eye, but further ring do not record full time like a security camera. They are motion activated so when you walk your dog on my lawn, ie trespassing, then you are being recorded. So pick up your dog sh!t so I don't have to put it in your mailbox to return it to you.

In regards to the deal....great deal to round out by dog sh!t trackers for folks that can't pick up after a dog.

Then you're really not going to like the news story that came out recently about the company called "Clearview AI" who has scraped over 3 billion photos of people online. Taking photos off of facebook, twitter, instagram, etc (they aren't allowed to do this, but have done it already) and throwing them into a facial recognition software program that can effectively ID just about everyone. You could take a photo of a random person on the street and know everything about them without even talking to them. Use the program, find out who they are, and all the rest of the data has already been profiled about you. Welcome to 2020. EEK!

I'll make a future prediction. People are going to be wearing masks in public in the next 50 years and I'm not talking about the coronavirus kind Wink

Having said that, I am a fan of using recording technology to protect your property

Need one or two. Wonder if amazon price will drop to this. They also have the ring doorbell pro for this price.

I'm waiting for the first lawsuit for invasion of privacy, we can't even walk our dog around the block or rake our leaves without being on camera. These should only be able to record images on personal property.... not city sidewalks and streets. George Orwell 1984. The book "rings" true. Sad really

Does B&H offer free return shipping if needed? I'm very tempted to buy but not sure my WiFi signal will reach the shed where I'd like to put the camera. An extender isn't really an option either.

Their return policy states "Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend you ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. We cannot be responsible for lost packages."
You can read all the details here: B&H Returns [bhphotovideo.com]

Is this the best ever deal? Have we seen lower price for such cameras? I was looking into a Samsung (indoor use) camera for which I get employee discount but they dont make an outdoor one (which I want). But wondering if it is really worth $160. I already have a ring alarm system. I have been advising my friend to stay out of all these connected devices but looking at the notifications I receive from Ring video from my neighbors it seems like I should get one.

B&H does not offer free return shipping but does offer prepaid return labels, with the cost deducted from the return credit amount.

PayPal's free return shipping program can be used to reclaim that deduction.

I returned a pair of speakers to B&H that way, but PP did charge me a buck to mail a check. I prefer not to link any bank accounts to PP.

Do heed all the terms and conditions for both entities.

I already have the ring doorbell and battery camera, so this is easy to add to what I got.

I have four of this model Ring floodlight camera which I've purchased over the past 2 years. This is the lowest price I've seen and usually the pricepoint which make me buy another one or two Smilie
