I am assuming once you activate this 3.0 license, it will prompt you to upgrade to the newest 4.0. As a current user of just a 2 PC license, this deal will help. However, after talking with their Chat team, it will not extend your current license as it is through a 3rd party. You have to wait until the current one expires (and remember to turn off auto renewal).

I used one of these just a couple months ago and activated on 3.0 and have since been upgraded to 4.0 with no change to the licence, as well as I've installed on 2 new PCs after 4.0 was released with this licence, and again no issue. Obviously the start date of the license still begins with the first activation, but it doesn't seem to be restricted to just 3.0.

Luckily these deals run about every other month (though sometimes they're only 3-PC licenses at the same price like last month, so be careful), so I just grab one whenever it comes up, about 2-3 months before mine expires.

I have used the excellent and free Binisoft Windows Firewall Control [binisoft.org] since before Malwarebytes acquired it, and I run their Anti-Malware manually on files I want to check. Would anybody recommend shelling out for Premium? Not sure I really need real-time scanning, but is the Anti-Ransomware good, or is there a better option?

5 pcs for a year each... divided by my 1 pc = 1 pc for 5 years?

If only life worked like math.

I have had a lifetime reg for..... a long time. Software works fine, finds stuff I dont want.... finds stuff I do want (like rival antivirus company products). Likes to quarantine your life away until properly configured . Will quarantine your other av programs... neat feature.

No program is a silver bullet, they are all reactive, That said this is a Great program, use it with the FREE microsoft windows defender and some common sense.as the best antivirus /anti malware is between your ears!

I had a problem last month with Malwarebytes Premium (paid version). On 2 of my PC's they would 'lose' network connectivity. One is a server, the other a network monitor - so neither is used actively by a person on the keyboard. Seems the issue would crop up after there had been no keyboard input for a while. The 'fix' was to physically press the 'reset' button as doing a start - restart would not work.

At first I thought I had a hardware problem - then maybe software I had installed -or some bug with Windows ... turned out to be Malwarebytes... I found a thread on their forum talking about the issue.

I can't seem to get the link to the Malwarebytes forum to work properly - so best to do a google search for:

Disables Internet - Malwarebytes

It is the first item found ...

I blew many hours trying to fix the issue - including reloading Windows and all the apps ...twice ... UGH...

I'm going to stay away from Malwarebytes until they get the issue fixed as I have blown enough time already. I would have thought they would have notified users of the issue and/or rolled back the update that caused it instead of remaining silent.

this is pretty much the everyday price... don't buy unless you really need it right now.

Anti malware software is generally unnecessary if you are careful about what sites you visit and what you download, but if you want the features that come with premium like potentially dangerous site blocking and anti ransomware then go for it. You may not need it but people in your family may not be as vigilant. I personally don't use any sort of anti malware software but I put it on my dads computer since I know for a fact he'll eventually end up with something malicious on his pc

And they are fake and bogus and will die in a few months. 99% of lifetime licenses on ebay are fake, scams, bogus.
