Different strokes for different folks. YMMV depending on what you're looking for.

If you're the kind who listens to spotify/youtube on your bluetooth speaker, then this is NOT for you.
However, if you're an audiophile and have a serious sound system then this is exactly what you need. Tidal has HIFI and MASTER quality options both of which are of much higher bitrate than most other common subscription services (Amazon music/spotify/apple music).

And NO tidal is not just for hip-hop/rap guys. They have a solid collection of MASTER quality classics.
Yes, I'm in this bucket. If you have a good music or HT system, this is easily worth the full price. And, as far as I know, to other service gives music videos with the same HiFi audio quality (or are there any?).

At $5 will give it a shot. Thanks OP. Family plan with offline devices 5 months for 5 $ is no brainer to try.

Unfortunately, I feel that's every single music streaming service out there. A majority of people listen to Rap and Pop, so they tailor the experience to fit that.
Agreed! I've had Amazon, and am now using Spotify, and not only are the screens not recommended for my tastes, but the emails about new releases, updates, etc aren't either. Its the nature of the Pop beast though...go with what the majority is listening to.

I just wish the majority had better musical tastes!

Yes, I was able to cancel ahead of time a few months ago and still receive the full trial period.

As an alternative to the option mentioned of using a Privacy card, I find Paypal very convenient. They have account options where you can revoke Tidal's ability to charge you, leaving no worries about the unauthorized billing some have complained about.

Was going to try this but my credit card company doesn't offer a disposable number service, have read a lot of horror stories of Tidal charging you even after you cancel....

Yes you can cancel immediately, but if you do the family plan you can not add new members or make any changes once you cancel. So make sure you have all of your Sub accounts setup prior to cancelling.

I'm currently on a promo that was here in December 6 months for $5. I have no problem with the service so far and most songs I want to listen to are there. I don't plan on keeping though because it's too darn expensive plus my car doesn't have an app for it in order to control through the car system. I do like how tidal have most of the artists music videos though.
doesn't Youtube also have that for free
