I've been tracking 21 Jump Street for over a year, this is only the second time it dropped to 4.99 in 6+ years.

Anyone have comments on the 4k quality of 21 Jump Street? I can't find any review online even for a 4k UHD BluRay (there might not be one). The movie looked just okay in theaters (shot more like a comedy than an action movie) so visual fidelity might not have been great to begin with.

Can't comment on the quality but Sony tends to do good work on their 4K releases. Also Dolby Vision might come into play on this one. Haven't seen it myself.

Update:

21 Jump Street looks fine, looks like Dolby Vision is decent (I only have a 5 series TCL so I can't take full advantage), but the movie was finished in 2K after having been shot in a combination of digital and film formats. So it's not very sharp.

Shaun of the Dead is similar, it was apparently finished in 2K (so it was also upresed) but shot on film. There's a nice grain in there and while low budget, the movie was shot well.
