Go to Post #37 for way to get another 10% off via a coupon. Takes less than an hr. Got mine in 10 min.

Cashback sites are running another 14-15% off for the next few hours.

$764.99 + tax - 14-15% pre-tax price = around $650 - $200 Dell Credit

it's weird, seems like everybody who doesn't own this monitor has something negative to say about it,
but everybody who owns /uses this monitor has high praise for it.

I have this and like it, but Apple products (at least my MBP) are not "officially supported". The only issue it has caused it is that when the MBP is powered via the USB-C signal from the monitor and it attempts to sleep, the monitor will go into "Searching for USB-C" mode, which apparently sends a wake up signal to the MBP. This results in an MBP that never really sleeps, and every so often I will see a flicker of light from my office when the MBP sleeps for a few seconds, then the monitor searches for the signal which wakes everything back up.

It was really annoying because it used to play the "charging chime" sound, but I have since disabled that annoying noise.

Other than that, the monitor is great for productivity. I went from a 3 monitor setup (23|27|23) to this and haven't looked back, other than the fact that my desk is now so bare without all those monitors.

If you are using anything Apple, then I suggest a screen manager such as Magnet or similar that allows for snapping windows to pre-defined sections. The u3818dw is the perfect size for 3 windows open side by side (split into 1/3's), or my preference is primary taking up left 2/3s with browser/secondary taking up other 1/3.
Magnet is absolutely WONDERFUL with this monitor. Agree with using thirds. I usually have mine with email/browser/finder or email/browser/VM

This is why I'm surprised this deal isn't getting more love. I jumped all over it, little bit of work on the cash back side and $200 dell e-gift card but I need a new office TV anyway so I'm just going to turn around and buy that with the credit. This is a smoking price on a large ultra wide.

Is the cash back still going on? Kicking around the Dell 34 vs this 38. Or just a 4k 27-32 inch. I don't like Mir been burnt before.

Not the 14%-16% when this was posted so not very slick at the moment.

The $200 is not a MIR but a promotional egift card with a 90 day expiration. Unless you were thinking about buying more products from Dell anyway I'd actually rather have a MIR since it's tougher to liquidate a promo gift card.

Would someone mind PM'ing me the $back sites that everyone is referencing? Kinda new to this aspect of deal hunting, thanks!

FYI, if you're part of Dell EPP, the 5% off from EPP stacks with the 10% off coupon.

Received mine today and I'm loving it. Replaces a 27" 1440p monitor. I use a u3415w at work and this u3818w is similar but better. Both my personal and work laptops have USB-C with PD and alt DP so the 100W PD USB-C and built-in KVM is extremely nice. PBP is my favorite feature so far. Could never get the resolution to scale correctly with the u34 but this u38 doesn't have that issue so now I can use both my personal and work laptops on screen at the same time.

Can you compare it to 4K TV?

I thought about getting a 4K TV myself when I bought this. The curve as well as height and screen adjustments are very good. If you can get this at the right price I think for most it will be better than the 4K TV use as a monitor.
