I love how they gave a picture of fish which should never be kept in anything close to this small.
I hope this is sarcasm. The general guidance is 1 gallon per 1 inch of fish. So, technically, you could put in 3 fish each shorter than 1 inch. A lot of fish grow longer than a inch, so maybe 3 neon tetras could fit, but neon tetras should be in groups of 6 or more, so it is not idea for them either.

Snails or shrimp might be a better use of this tank. Or it can be used as a hospital tank when you need to treat a fish with chemicals.
I had this for about a week before returning it. The curvature makes it near impossible to see anything inside once filled with water. The LEDs are very weak and are borderline to even be enough light for very low light plants. It is not glass, it is thin plastic so it will eventually cloud up. At this price it could be useful as a hospital or quarantine for (very) small fish or for some non-fishkeeping project. I would certainly pass on it for use as a display tank.

Shrimp. Only thing besides 1-3 nano fish that should ever be kept in a tank this small.

I'm of the camp that most nanos love to swim. I think it's too small for the majority of nano fish too.

I do actually agree with you but I was trying to be a little less of a fish nazi than I typically am.

Been waiting for the 5.5 to hit $20.00 again so I just grabbed another one. The 5.5 Topfin is actually pretty nice and it's really easy to cut bulk filter media to fit the filter.

One gallon per inch of fish (adult size) as a general guideline. So this shall be fine as a cubicle/desktop tank for an angel fish, or a couple of small and peaceful fishes like fancy guppies, platies, swordtails, or zebra fishes (though the latter could become lonely as zebra fishes prefer larger community).

Take your $15 to Craigslist or OfferUp and get a decent tank someone is getting rid of cheap.

I know... Here comes a boat load of thumbs downs... But they are fish... We have a healthy 37 gallon tank and still lose fish randomly to bloat... If your kid wants a guarami and this is all you can afford... Put a damn guarami it in.

No TD here, but I disagree.

As another poster said, take the $15 to Craig's or offerup and get a decent sized tank for your pet. Alternatively, for $20 you could even get the 5.5g or a glass 10g and small filter from petco.

Honestly if $15 is breaking the bank, fish may not be the ideal hobby.

I've got two of these. They're nice but, looking back, I wish I would have spent the extra 5 bucks on the 5 gallon kits. The 5 gallon kits are only $20.00 right now so I'm gonna grab me one today to replace one of my Enchant models.

Thx, do you have the link to 5gallon?

My daughter got a 1 gallon last week to put a snail in but i think this would be better, do you think that a small female betta and snail would be good in this size?
