I bought a "renewed" 35" AOC Agon 1440p UW from Amazon. $399. Been great, though took a few to get a nice one. Also got 2x 27" Asus " renewed" 1440p displays. Been happy.

I have this monitor. I love it. It can very easily be over locked to 120hz.

Once LG comes up with their 48in OLED gaming display, most of these display will take a hit...

Good price, matches the Black Friday deal.

There's tons of new monitors coming out, so it might be best to wait a bit.

I'm eyeing the 4k 144hz Nano IPS from LG or their new ultrawides.
same I'll wait to avoid the backlight problem with these alienwares and future proof a little. I like to keep a monitor for 3-4years. 144 with 175 OC will last that long easily

not at all. 48 on a desk is hard. you need to have it mounted about 3-4 feet away so you aren't turning your head. 34" is sweet spot. switched from 38 down to 34 and don't regret it one bit

I do not recommend this monitor. Common Light bleeding on four comers. I personally had color temp not even. One side colder one side warmer.
And also bad customer experience. Check bbb review and complain before you buy.
If you can easily return and exchange one or two times, strongly recommend you stay away.

I have this monitor and love it, but I would recommend a 2070 super or better for many newer high end titles.

Bought one a year ago and have backlightt bleed on bottom corners. Mild annoyance on dark scenes but has been great so far. OC to 120 hertz with no issues.

My issue is if I'm going to spend $600 on a high end monitor, why not spend another $300 to get the (albiet small) upgrade. It wouldn't blow up my budget to just go with the upgrade but for those that $300 would be a huge ask this is a fantastic price for a great monitor
More like, why should I buy this when the 27" Dell 2560x1440 144Hz monitor frequently goes on sale for $300, which is half the price of this monitor?

I get it, but that decision has nothing to do with this being a good deal or not for most other people. Why buy anything if you can upgrade to the next best thing for 50% increase in cost? Thats how almost every product works. If the IPS monitor was $100 more then I would agree, but 50% more that's not a deal. Either way, go for it if you feel that's the better option.
hmm not really following the logic. this is a 2 year old monitor that is well known to have light bleed issues. paying $350 more for next gen panel that is native 144hz is a no brainier as the 144hz native will last 3-5 years easily. I had one of these and easily hit 120hz in most games with my 2080. if you are spending this kind of money...$350 is easily justifyable for 175hz oc and 2 year newer panel

I'm ok with bigger sizes. 55 too much but 48 can do. My point is all these monitors and i mean all of them on the market today suffer from either quality defects, not having all features regardless of price, bleeding, poor blacks, 60Hz, no HDR...I can really go forever...They all suck more or less.
