hmm not really following the logic. this is a 2 year old monitor that is well known to have light bleed issues. paying $350 more for next gen panel that is native 144hz is a no brainier as the 144hz native will last 3-5 years easily. I had one of these and easily hit 120hz in most games with my 2080. if you are spending this kind of money...$350 is easily justifyable for 175hz oc and 2 year newer panel
You don't get the logic that many people can't justify another $300? Seriously? Honestly man this monitor is a really good one and so many people are so bent on light bleed and fairly minor things that I wonder how anything can satisfy people anymore.

"if you are spending this kind of money"

You know to a lot of people $350 is a lot of money. There's something called a budget. $600 for an UW IPS 120hz is a great price that is targeted by many.

You also talked about your 2080 that many people cannot afford. Honestly surprised you didn't say 2080 Ti, it's only $500 more than a 2080.

Have this monitor. It's beautiful in person and have had no problems for 6 months. Only complaint I had initially was trying to adjust to multiplayer competitive shooters. Single player and other games look great. Was easy to overclock.

Got this monitor during Black Friday. Been loving wow classic on ultra wide ever since. Btw, you will also need a new video card to push this screen. I ended up getting a 2070 super.

Got this as "very good" condition for less on Amazon Warehouse. I'm not optimistic but you never know!

Newer ultrawides with similar specs will definitely run you a grand or more. If you aren't a pro gamer 4ms is fine.
I did the same last time it was on sale, when I got it I checked it out cause I knew there was a reason it was returned. Backlight bleed was not bad but I did find a dead pixel, contacted Amazon threatened to return it and they knocked off another 50 if I agreed to keep it and deal with the dead pixel. So I kept it and in the end it cost me 480 total including tax and all. I don't even notice the pixel unless I'm really trying to look for it.

Key word "CURVED" NEXT!!!
Unless you are doing games that have little to do with being able to see accurately, who in the right mind working with video or still images would want a curved display. NO ONE!
Just FYI, for non-multimedia work, which is the majority of people out there a curved display is fantastic. I find eye strain to be less and it's just easier to use for business tasks when multitasking. I didn't realize how much better it was until I switched from the standard dual 24" monitors.

The tax is calculated weird. They take the discount after tax is calculated as opposed to before.

Good price, matches the Black Friday deal.

There's tons of new monitors coming out, so it might be best to wait a bit.

I'm eyeing the 4k 144hz Nano IPS from LG or their new ultrawides.
Same here

The thing is, you would hope that they would make a note it before you buy it. Some conditions are noted like "minor imperfections on bottom or back of item". Mine didn't say anything so I hope that is the case.
