Great deal for the specs. You can't build this for $750 without a Windows license.

It says b450, most likely skytech uses b450m pro4 or b450m/ac like what other deals.

I've been looking for a gaming laptop but I've been told that for the money I'd have to spend on a good one, I'm better off getting a nice desktop for that, since I don't really plan on gaming too much outside of my home...would this be more than enough for a solid triple AAA gaming machine? What about a nice monitor...?

Depends on what games you play but for something like apex legends you will get about 100+ fps with high or 80+ with ultra under 1080p. Going to 1440p is a bit dicey but I can't give you any personal experience since I am still running 1080p. For monitor look for 144hz minimum for gaming. Resolution I say 1080p is a good spot for this machine. I believe there is a deal for a Dell monitor 24" 144hz on here for $280 ish for the freesync or if you decide to go Nvidia in the future spends the extra 20 bucks for the g-sync.

I'm curious as well. If anyone has any good input between the two, that'll be awesome!

This one is $100 more for a better video card and more ram. You get a slower processor but not slow enough to hurt any games. This is the better deal

just realized it's $250 more, not $100. now it's a toss up
