I was in store buying a Wyze camera and the cashier was asking me if I've heard of eufy because she was going to buy the flood light camera. She said it was ringing up at 50% off unfortunately for me she got the last one.

Argh. The EufySecurity app requires location services to be enabled which is lame. This allows BS unnecessary collection of your location which allows association to your email address, physical location, and potentially video data if/when it's sent to its HQ in China. Collecting your GPS location is not required to find the best local server and is not truly required to establish sunset/sunrise on/off. Just knowing the city at most you're in is sufficient.

If their company truly prides themselves in privacy, their app must allow an option that does not request location data.

Totally different type of product and pricing. This a floodlight with camera functions that doesn't require a NVR.

Reviews seem good, but it seems Eufy may've discontinued the product. It's no longer listed on their site except under support.
Up until a couple of couple of weeks ago (and maybe still) the cam didn't work with the latest version (v6.x) of FireOS on Amazon Echo. They made a big deal of the Alexa integration on the product web page so I'm guessing they decided to pull the page while they worked on fixing it. When I returned the one I bought the HD the guy specifically asked me if Home Depot claimed that it would work with Alexa and I said "no, but the manufacturer page did". It struck me as a little odd at the time since HD usually don't ask much when I'm making a return. In retrospect the HD page claims that it "currently only works with 1st Gen Echo Show" but the Eufy page wasn't as specific. Eufy believed it worked with all Show versions until I informed them otherwise. Turned out they hadn't upgraded the firmware on their Alexa devices and were still testing with V5.x. i can almost guarantee that the next time Amazon updates the Echo firmware it will break the integration of these cams again and Eufy will be clueless.

And yes, I can confirm that the motion detection was not great - 10 feet at most with a lot of jumping up and down and waving. Wave Overall though, for anyone not requiring integration with other devices and content to view video just on their phone, this is quite a good deal.

Hopefully it isn't discontinued for the sake of continued support and updates.

I plan to install it tomorrow and will test out the motion detection. I ideally need motion detection starting at a min of 40ft.

40ft? No way. Test it before you drill holes or screw it onto anything.

First real post so I'm hoping I didn't get caught up in Home Depot orange sticker hype!

I was browsing clearance today and saw the Eufy floodlight camera for half off making it $99. I checked eBay and a few other places and lowest I could find was $150.

Did I find a good deal?

Thanks OP, glad I found the right person who worked in that section and knew where to look for it. It wasn't locked up like a lot of people mention but instead high up on the shelf in a different asle . When I checked out the girl said " Awww" once she scanned the price and told me " Congratulation " , I'm guessing they knew about it but couldn't find it .

Works at about 20-25ft consistently for the light. The camera works at about 30-35ft consistently. The camera occasionally will activate at 35 to 40ft.

Went to home depot in riverside area, and basically I caught the employees trying to hide it after I called to ask about it. (it was a far drive, so I'd rather call than pop up). I wanted 2 but I only got 1... They gave me twenty more dollars off because they knew I caught them. I left happy about the price, but pissed at employees
I called corporate home depot and they basically didn't care and said they'd use it as a learning opportunity.

My parents picked up 2 in LA Mirada in orange county... Last two.

In general, most if not all home depots in so cal no longer have
