Probably not enough servers to handle new customers.

Anyone have experience with this provider in mainland China? Does it work through the "Great Firewall"?

You can only connect 5 devices at a time. Also if you want to remove a device and swap, there is a definitive wait time. Also, you cannot remove more than 1 device in a week time frame. Also, there is no native torrent support where you can configure socks5 or so like PIA. However you can use the France or California servers for torrenting needs which isnt that great in terms of speed. Apart from these limitations the service is pretty usable. Also , their no log policy is kind of BS as they keep connection logs /limits which is outlined in Their t&c.

I've had this for 5 years now and they are constantly working on their applications. Once in a while it gets broken, but their apps are kept up to date for new OS's like android 10 and windows (Sorry don't know about mac.) They added IKE ahead of most others, and they finally added a killswitch on windows. They also have had multiple choices for the connection such as openvpn, TCP, or UDP. The udp with their "keepsolid" option was able to work in some hotels that was blocking openvpn.
Tech support has been great when I emailed, sometimes just a few hours to reply. The torrent speeds are not the greatest and have limited torrent servers. The other servers I max out at 4MBPS usually but that's fine for browsing the web.
I use it mostly for wifi at work or public wifi. The netflix server surprisingly has been working a long time and almost never goes down. Parent company is "keepsolid"

Slickvpn, keepsolid and Ivacy are all better for stream but security is not so good for keepsolid.
