I see no discussion on their cheaper Refurb model ($69) that seems to be very similar with the same power and radio function but no mic and no NFC. Instead that one has one function that I really like and that is its Music activated LED light change.
What is the general view on that? considering it is significantly cheaper and I'm not scared of title "Refurb" when sold by a very reliable seller i.e. BuyDig.com and their hard to match 45 days no question return policy. Is there anything I miss to go with that instead of the New main item of this thread?

From my research, a good place for you to start would probably be with the VTIN R7 speaker, W-King 50W/70W speaker, or the Bugani speaker. Maybe others have some suggestions because there are a ton of options out there but those three are readily available on Amazon. I personally think the VTIN R7 would be a fantastic choice when you consider dollars per watt. I have a 60W Veho M10 that is absolutely amazing but is more of a premium, decorative speaker and not as durable or as portable as the others. I lucked out and got it for $40 on a clearance event and only wish I had bought more.
Hopefully that gives you a good place to start

VTIN looks great - except no AM/FM? Any recommendations for something similar?

Unfortunately, I don't pay much attention to live radio so I don't keep up with products with that feature. However, most stations can be streamed via smartphone apps which could negate alleviate the issue depending on your intended use.

Bought the Offroad, it's coming tomorrow.

I also plan on grabbing the VTIN and W-King people have been mentioning... I watched some reviews and people are in love with these. I'll return them to Amazon if they suck. I'll report back!

Ah, forgot to update.

Well for one, the 100w Pathfinder went on sale for just $10 more than the $50 Offroad... So I returned the Offroad. Then Coronavirus, so I didn't order the Pathfinder. So now I have neither lol

But, overall I wasn't blown away by the Offroad. Loud? Yeah pretty loud. Bass is punchy but not low, which is weird for a speaker of this size. If you turn it up too much it distorts like crazy. Something is weak - either the speakers themselves or the Amp. Either way, it doesn't really meet my expectations. It sounds cheap, but is built real nice.
