Make sure you deactive autorenew on last years subscription. It was supposed to renew on the 14th. Was able to cancel today because it hadn't gone through yet.

I find it hilarious that F1 TV doesn't let you pay with AMEX (Visa and MC only).

Apparently the cheaper plan has all the races from 1981 on but no live streaming. The perfect deal to avoid the current crop of garbage these F1 cars are but still watch F1. 80s and 00s here I come.

Can anyone point me to the best place besides the F1 site itself to find out more about this F1 service, how it works, the 'best' options or plans, and reviews and opinions?

For example, can I stream this through Roku? Is there really enough content beyond what we see on ESPN to make this worthwhile? Are there ways to record content like we can with a DVR or is all content saved by the service and available for viewing anytime? Etc.

I.e., is this F1 service worth getting?

Thanks for your thoughts and experience!

Edit: I see on the Roku site that the F1 app has 2 reviews totaling 1.5 stars out of 5 . . . EEK!

Based on my experiences from last year, the service has a ways to go. They promised an Apple TV app, but have yet to deliver. I have used my laptop instead, but live races have frequent issues. Sometimes it works great, most of the time it works okay, and a few times it doesn't work. If it's the only way you can watch, do it. ESPN works great, you just miss out on multiple cameras and past seasons. If it worked well on my Apple TV, I'd subscribe for the extras.

Thumbed up because car deal. I'll use sling and the sports networks there + dvr makes this not needed for me.
