These are great prices, if you can find your size. I've bought 10+ Kirkland Signature shirts- the fabric quality is amazing for a $10-$20 shirt. I'd say the tailored fit is more like a normal fit though. If you are skinny it may not work for you. My partner is athletic and lean (6'4" 200lbs) and the tailored fit is slightly roomy on him. I also buy him Calvin Klein slim fit and you can tell the difference in fit.

I bought at full price. These aren't the best quality shirts (50% synthetic), and I'm not crazy about the fit. They aren't anything like the normal Kirkland dress shirts for $18

Brand licensing is becoming even more complex with constant tariff threats being cast about in increasing frequency. What may have been a solid, consistent Chinese source for the Kirkland name just a month ago, may be manufactured in a completely different country next month.

These are just some of the broad effects that can come with a "draining the swamp" mentality. Caveat Emptor.

Why is Tarrif increase posing a problem for consumer?

Except if every one in the chain get greedy and add their cut in proportion to the increased tariff...

My sincerest apologies; but this isn't the medium to explain economic scale.

Literally bought these individual shirts yesterday at 15 each. Best bet to reorder and return or get a price adjustment? Thanks!

That's total BS since Kirkland doesn't consistently source from one manufacturer in the first place.
Costco operates by using its buying power and flexible purchase to negotiate a lower price. They could care less where they source from. If the numbers don't work out, they stop selling and find another product to sell.
It's their business model. Tariffs have little impact on their operation.

The Tommy Hilfiger shirts are crap. Not even worth $5/each.

The Costco shirt is nice quality, although these are mostly hefty sizes (big sizes, but not long enough sleeves).

Yes. Your best bet is to either reorder and return or to get a price adjustment.

You clearly do not understand anything about supply chains or logistics for that matter. Costco doesn't order shirts tomorrow for next week's shelves and nobody is as naive as you to assume that things change instantly without any repercussions and that Costco does not account for things such as potential tarrifs, Coronavirus, ETC.

Additionally, I agree with ValueRanger as there is a certain political party who doesn't understand tariff's at all and assumes it's another thing that "foreign people pay for!!!"

Do you even know how corporate contracts work? Clearly, you don't.

The contracts are signed months or years in advance. Changes in tariffs do not affect the cost today. It affects future planning, but like I said Costco does not stay with one manufacturer or supplier.

There are millions of other reasons for the cost increase. Not just tariff or supply issue. If businesses don't account for the various risks, they would've been long defunct by now. The economy is affected by many unaccounted factors. Political tiff has very little effect in the long-run.
