IEMs definitely aren't as quick as basic buds but if it's not longer than you can hold your breath, it's not a long time lol

Used to have the same lightning cable and it died after two months. Not an uncommon case if you look into reviews online.

Everyone's joking but I have this style of earbuds ( not these) and they are a nightmare to put in my ears. Might be a bit easier for guys with short hair though.

Interesting. I've been enjoying some KZ IEM-style buds, and I've never once thought, "These are just too hard to put in." I am a guy with short hair but it seriously doesn't seem like a concern. For fun, I just timed myself, and it took me seven seconds to put them in both ears. I think I can spare the extra 4-5 seconds for the comfort and good sound.
