Update: New promo code for $10/off per month for first six month w/ promo code PAT20

Venn Mobile [vennmobile.com] is offering $9/off per month for the first six months after code "SAVE9".

They only have one plan, which is unlimited minutes, texts, 4G LTE data, plus a 50GB hot spot. The base price is $30/mo. with no contract. After coupon, the price for the first six months is $21/mo.

*** Note- you cannot port in an existing Sprint number.

The only other fees are a $3.50/mo. regulatory fee (for comparison, Mint charges roughly this, and Visible rolls it into their plan), and a one time $10 fee for a new SIM (these are free with Mint and Visible, I think).

They also sell phones starting at $30 with a plan. A "like new" iPhone 6S is $70, Samsung Galaxy J3 is $30.

So no number that's ever been associated with Sprint EVER? Or currently on Sprint?

Right now I'm on Tello's Sprint MVNO, and was on Sprint before that.

Hmm. Isn't Sprint about to be folded over to T-Mobile? Seeing as the takeover was approved?

Was really tempted by the plan, but considering no literature available about the company and the extremely short time period it has been in existence (as per my research), right before putting down the credit card details, I called the customer service hotline. Not the new connection department but the one which is supposed to handle existing issues. Nobody picked up. Phone kept on ringing for 5 minutes before i hung up. Ergo, I will wait.

We know how Sprint is spotty for some people but for $21 with 50GB hotspot is a deal. Anything to keep my Sprint shares to keep going up. Cool

50gb of hotspot is nice but how much data directly from the device? I would assume just as much.

Very tempting considering Sprint and T-Mobile are merging soon-ish.

Edit: went through the checkout process and it accepted my IMEI from my T-Mobile iPhone.
I have the Sprint Freedom Unlimited plan. My wife and I pay $45 each + tax for basically this plan + Hulu.

The plan we're on slows down at 23GB directly on the device. I'm just guessing this does too. We use the hotspot to stream movies on our smart TVs....cut cable internet in 2015 because we just weren't using it enough. Solid deal if you get good service in your area.

Went from T-Mobile to Sprint and back to T-Mobile. I run speed tests all the time and I found that Sprint is faster in most places compared to T-Mobile.

I also live in Miami so I have better coverage than smaller cities. YMMV
> Sprint is faster in most places compared to T-Mobile.
Similar experience in Reno, NV, and East Bay, CA, except I like Sprint, especially their included international text & low-speed data (good for email). I currently pay Sprint $30.50/mo. all up w/o hotspot,

The hotspot makes this deal interesting if they do not deprioritize you.

I'm trying it. Been on project fi for years and gf's ISP keeps having outages. Sprint is the only decent service at gf's where I stay most of the time. T-mo is 2nd best then at&t and Verizon. She lives at the bottom of a little mountain and it blocks the cell service. Rural area so only 1 ISP Frown

"GPS + EMERGENCY ALERT
Get peace of mind with 24x7 emergency alert + GPS tracking included with your plan."

Wow such great included features! I get GPS and emergency alerts on one of my new phones that has a new, non-activated Sprint SIM (handed to me for free and not linked to me). It doesn't have service, but it always shows at least a couple bars of 4G reception. Sprint says it's not compatible with their network, but it is. So I'll just wait for them to merge with T-Mobile's network to activate it...

It's not the OP, slickdeals has a bot that automatically puts their referral link into the url.

It's slickdeals that's doing the referral. They have a bot that automatically adds it.
