  • Play with your Xbox Wireless Controller on Windows 10 PCs, laptops, and tablets.
  • Use it with PC games and Xbox One games streamed to Windows 10.
  • Simply bind the adapter to your wireless controller to enable the same gaming experience you are used to on Xbox One, including in-game chat and high quality stereo audio.
  • Extend the USB connection to your Windows 10 PC, laptop, or tablet to enhance placement and accessibility to the wireless adapter with the included USB extender cable.

Can anyone confirm is this works with the NVidia Shield? Never tried it, but was curious since my shield controller is on it's way out.

If my laptop has built in bluetooth that works fine as far as I can tell, would I need this anyway for some reason?
Sometimes bt disconnects or lags. I have a high end computer and it still happens. This adapter ensures you have a consistent experience.

These beat generic BT adapters, especially in range, input lag, and with minor obstructions. This uses Microsoft's proprietary BT signal, which is similar to but is better than bluetooth 4.

Has anyone had experience having 2 of these adapters plugged in to the same PC? I game on the PC in my office and (through extenders) use the PC at my TV in the basement. The USB extender has the older v1 style adapter in the basement and I have a v2 adapter in my office, but they often cancel each other out and I have to unlplug/plug them back in. Curious if I replaced the v1 with a v2, will two v2's play nicer with each other?

I think there's no difference besides the hardcore gamer paranoia about 100% uptime compared to general bluetooth, because they think they're warriors for an alien army and the universe will implode if they miss a shot or something...
No it's not as simple as just missing a shot and affects more than just hardcore gamers. It's annoying when BT drops a connection and you have to power cycle the controller, re-pair or other troubleshooting in the middle of a game. This can happen multiple times within a play session and is an unnecessary hassle.

can I connect this to Switch and use Xbox controllers? TIA.
No. You want the 8bitdo adapter for this.

No. You'll need a specific 360 adapter.

If I got the controller/adapter bundle recently, did I get this V2 adapter? Is it simple to tell the V1 and V2 adapters apart?

Bought 1 for my Fortnite-playing kids. They keep bending the micro-USB cable tip using a controller plugged in. Anyone know if the adapter allows them to use their headset plugged into the controller?

Thanks I've been eyeing this because of the crappy bluetooth issues. It's crazy that connecting an Xbox One controller over bt to my laptop (and the one I had before it) causes massive performance issues. Issues like halving the framerate and random disconnects, and apparently this has been an issue for years without a fix, nuts.

The V2 is much smaller than the V1. The V2 is about the size of a flash drive. If it is much bigger and rectangular, then you have the V1. There are fakes of these out there, and these are not in original packaging or from a well-known seller. So, personally I'd pay the $10 or so more to get it retail...
