Not the best price for the Bissell Big Green but I haven't seen it drop in price over the past month very much.

$329

Lowe's rents these for $30 / day or $40 / 48 hours. I have one and like it but given the rental cost, at least by me, it's not worth buying for more than $299 (what I paid) IMO.

Weve had ours for about 5 years now. One of the best purchases ive ever made. When the dog vomits all over the carpet at 9pm on a Sunday you don't have to start googling what time Lowes closes to try to go rent one. You just get it cleaned up and youre back to your regularly scheduled program in about 20 minutes

Yep, I have a puppy and can't wait 2 months to save $30 especially when $300 plus one rental price is the same price.

Bissell.com sold it for 280~290 about 6 months ago. I was able to jump on that one.

Slick Deal header says 320 but Bissell.com had additional discounts

Plus the time and effort to go get it and then return it. Plus it's been likely used and abused by dozens of other people. And what others have said about having it on hand when you need it right away . I literally whipped mine out in the middle of my office Christmas party last year when someone dumped an entire glass of red wine on my carpet. People thought I was nuts until 2 minutes later it was done and like it never happened.

that said, if you don't need it immediately, i'd wait for the $299 price.

Thanks, used my Target gift cards from Xmas discount time to grab it. My Hoover cleaner leaves the carpet just too wet for too long lately.

When you use this for spot cleaning how do you measure out the cleaning solution and water mix? Or do you fill the tank and just discard what's unused?

I fill the tank per instructions, then when I'm done there is always solution mix left in the tank. It may not be the optimal thing to do, but when I need it to spot clean something, I just use the old room temp whatever that's already in it. It may not be what I'm supposed to do, but it certainly works.

I just want to say, these things are amazing. Much better than a rug doctor, and well worth the price to buy outright instead of renting. It's built like a tank and nice to have on hand when spills happen or full cleaning. They are EASILY worth this price. Others have recommended using the solution in a separate garden sprayer, then only using water in this to rinse. I also have the wand attachment for stairs and upholstery, and it also works great. I normally don't rave about a purchase, but I've had this for over 5 years now and never an issue and used regularly 4-5 times a year for deep cleaning.
