Deal link is broken, but clicking the "Food Saver" link at the beginning of the deal works.

Looking for some feedback: tried some more generic bag material, but only the food saver ones seem to seal and vacuum correctly. What do people here use?

I bought a crappy vacuumer for $20 off of Amazon which seems to work with every kind of bag and returned the FoodSaver.

I use the foodsaver and foodsaver roll/bag constantly. They offer the most consistent experience. Plus depending on use I have more confidence in the makeup of the plastic compared to no name/off brand plastics. But to each their own. I don't want to save a couple bucks on a 50 foot roll of plastic to potentially lose 20 bucks worth of meat in my freezer or have a seal break on a filet while sous vide cooking Smilie

I have used "out of air" bags with good results. I have been hesitant to use rolls (I would have to get a new machine for one...) because my machine is so compact...

I just reordered these off Amazon

My first couple rolls have sealed well 90% of the time. The other 10% it was something I did that caused the bag to not seal on the first try. (Such as bag too far in, bag not far enough in, too much moisture in the bag, or product not frozen enough before sealing.)
It's been so long since I used official food saver bags that I have no idea how this compares any more. But for the price, and convenience of being to cut bags of any length off the roll, I like these bags.

Is there an inventory site for Costco? Could just be that none are at my store.

I like it, use it fairly often and it comes with a starter amount of bags. The bags are also on sale at Costco but I use these from Amazon. Their an odd size and the rolls are to big to properly fit the machines storage area but they work just as well as as FoodSavers.

This one of a newer model compared to the Costco one. Have to decide is this worth the extra $30
