Matches the price that Patagonia had a few weeks ago. Limited sizes in colors but I personally was looking for oxide red. Plus easy returns at Dicks if there is an issue. With gift cards and cash back there is an opportunity to save more.

After ten years of wearing mine for 1/2-3/4 of the year mine is finally starting to get some thread damage.

Time for a new one.

They have the hooded version for 140 on Patagonia.com
Only in Balkan Blue. I ordered it and received it recently.

It's bright.

I can pull it off going out, but I would be hard pressed to show up to a professional work environment wearing it.

But everybody has their own style and work environment.

Agreed. I also bought it. What's your review on it besides the color. Worth the purchase? I'm trying to decide that for myself

We don't have any cold left where I am so it's hard to tell it's insulation performance. All reviews suggest it will be plenty warm until 20°F or so.

The fit is pretty good and the adjustable hood is great. Looks like quality stuff and is extremely light. Packs itself into an internal zipper pocket.

Pros: Looks great, feels light, packs well
Cons: Color makes it not an everyday winter wear for me

For the price (50% off and about as low as you're going to find), I am considering keeping it for trip purposes. If I were a hiker, it would be a no brainer.

Still hoping to see a more neutral color go on sale, but I'm not holding my breath.

You?

You?
Similar points to what you were mentioning. I thought the color is not as bright as some of the other colors, so while it cant be worn to work, it can possibly be worn for casual wear and as you have mentioned, is really warm. Also from what I've heard, they have great warranty on their products, so I might keep it this time. But I'm still finding it hard justifying 150 bucks for any jacket lol

Typically $65. Price increased for some reason.

I've been looking at this jacket to wear under my shell coat for the last couple of weeks. Ended up going for the mountain hardwear ds stretchdown since the material was better and slightly higher goose down fill.

Also I had no patience for the Black or the Grey colors to go on sale.....

I feel like it's well worth the price if that's your issue.

question: does the mountain hardwear make noise when you move? that swish swish swish sound that you'd get with certain polyester shells?

i had a nice eddie bauer jacket with that matte outer shell look but I had to return it because it announced my presence everywhere i went.

One alternative: Costco near me has the Marmot Azos Down Jacket. It's a 700-fill duck down, available in gray, black, and blue (item 1307388).
I bought mine two months ago, but I saw yesterday they've marked the price down to $40 from the original $90.
