Matches the price that Patagonia had a few weeks ago. Limited sizes in colors but I personally was looking for oxide red. Plus easy returns at Dicks if there is an issue. With gift cards and cash back there is an opportunity to save more.

After ten years of wearing mine for 1/2-3/4 of the year mine is finally starting to get some thread damage.

Time for a new one.
Patagonia has excellent customer service, go to a store near you and they might repair it for free!

We don't have any cold left where I am so it's hard to tell it's insulation performance. All reviews suggest it will be plenty warm until 20°F or so.
If you are not moving around I would not recommend it for temperatures that low unless you have layered pretty well. With just a base layer I would say this goes down to about 45 - 50 F for me if I'm not moving, e.g., standing on a sideline cheering your kids, etc. If you're mobile it's a different story.

Of course, different people have different tolerances to cold/warmth, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Like as in what is down? Down jackets are filled with "down" from birds which are super fine feathers found underneath the protective exterior feathers. Down is incredibly soft, light, and warm. Thus, perfect for jackets but tend to be expensive as the material is not easy to obtain (typically from goose).
I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume it was the use of both words "sweater" and "jacket" that s/he found confusing. But again...I'm just assuming here.

Whenever I see people in these ugly colors I think either they got it on clearance and or there's something wrong with them.
I buy the ugly colors for hiking because I don't care how I look, but won't wear them out and about.

The Oxide Red is a nice color, not bright like most typical red. I had a neon-ish green from years back, got that on sale I think it was $100. Color was a bit loud, but it grew on me. I think it's a great deal!

Picked up the oxide red yesterday & used a $20 off $100 that I had received in the mail. Had to chat with customers service to have it applied.

Dicks also has the nano puff on sale for under $100 if you are looking for a jacket to stay warm when it gets wet. A few more color options too (but none of the basic colors).

What is the down count? What temps can it handle? Looking for one for winter hiking as second layer in 20s, would it work?

Holy moly this new Patagonia website is baaaad. So much slower and harder to navigate.
Word. Straight up refused to take my credit cards too and I've tried multiple devices. I was forced to use PayPal which means if I want to return the items I'll only get store credit, ridiculous.

Good to know. I've been rocking Columbia off an on since '98. It used to be First Downs with the feathers.

How is this a sweater?

Newer style is thinner and tighter on body, like sweater.
unlike the old school https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lt6KRKHpKhY nod

Not sure how this is better than the inqlo version though
