Anyone seen a good comparison of this and the v2? Don't trust a lot of reviewers. Hard to tell who is sponsored sometimes.

I swear by this bag. It's honestly one of the most useful bags I've ever owned. It fits a 5d mark iv with a 24-70 + flash literally perfectly. Sometimes I have my camera on a strap on my shoulder and carry my lenses in this bag. It has the perfect spot for the capture clip, which i use very often. Honestly, I use this sling even when I'm not hauling camera gear around. The anti theft features on it make it a perfect bag to have for traveling & festivals. The stitching on the zipper started to come loose on the corners, but I sewed it back up by hand, was kind of disappointed but honestly I use this bag HEAVILY, sometimes finding myself zipping and unzipping dozens of times when I have it, which is all of the time, Literally, I always have it with me. I just had to buy another one, just to have for the future. I never see them go below 60 on ebay, even when used. The new ones are a bit different in size, and don't really work with what I need.

Why are men essentially overvaluing....a purse? There are tons of fanny packs, slings, small backpacks that function all the same and cost 1/5. Seriously, these overpriced pieces are man purses. Label TNF, Patagonia, pd?!?, Louis Vitton...it's a purse, dood. Getting all worked up over...a purse.
It's not a purse... it's a Murse.

Do you want to know or are you just posturing? It sounds like the latter but if you actually want to know: if you regularly carry an SLR style camera and lenses around for work, this style of bag with the Velcro compartment is really useful. You can easily get it in and out quickly and it's well protected and doesn't bounce around. This also is $60, which is pretty cheap for a well made bag, or purse if you want to call it that - which it is, Peak Design is quality.

I have a v1 10L, v2 3L and the 30L everyday backpack.

The V1 sling designs are just much more classy looking IMO.

I have the 10L, and tempted to get this one for those times when I want to carry less.

Drawbacks of the V1 design are the thin shoulder strap, and the lack of a lock for the strap. The former is more of a concern with the 10L as you can carry more/heavier stuff. The latter can be resolved if you contact PD or visit one of their stores as they have a locking clip available.

Looks like good bag but 60$ is way too much for it.

How many lenses do I need to justify this? I really think I only need a bag to protect my camera in my bag, but if you all swear by this for someone who plans to stick with single lens for years, then I can agree.

Wow there are some really fanny-sensitive people in here. No, this isn't a purse. You wear it across your chest/back. This brand is also known to create very high quality items geared towards photographers, hence padding that will protect any sensitive gear. Honestly a great product if it suits your needs! But if you're not into that stuff, then this product isn't for you.

And so what if it's a redesign of the old 90s fanny! Nothing wrong with that! This type of product is blowing up in the male-gear space. If you think it's too expensive, then absolutely go for the cheaper variety. I honestly think this is a great price.

Thanks. Been looking at this bag and size for years.

At this price I'll get one.
Just a shame the 5L won't fit my 10.5" iPad Pro. (From what I've read)

Exactly! It's a fanny pack. You could strap this to your ankle and drag it behind you, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a fanny pack. Wear it with pride 🌈
LOL orrr just call it a sling? Why does it need to be boiled down to your limited understanding of different types of bags? These aren't typically worn around the waist like fannys either. But you do you boo LMAO
