I have this bag. Works great with my Lumix G9. Only thing lacking is a cross strap for the sling. Otherwise, great bag.

Does the space on this work pretty well if what you're carrying around isn't a camera? Say, for travel, carrying some water and other miscellaneous crap? Or is the inside aggressively compartmentalized for camera gear?

dividers are removable if you don't want to configure compartments

At 5L and with the folding dividers, this bag was the best fit for my Canon m100 + lens and 3 additional lens. Plus, it's small enough to fit into a medium size messenger bag so I can leave the messenger bag in the bag check area and carry just my camera gear at museums.

Wow there are some really fanny-sensitive people in here. No, this isn't a purse. You wear it across your chest/back. This brand is also known to create very high quality items geared towards photographers, hence padding that will protect any sensitive gear. Honestly a great product if it suits your needs! But if you're not into that stuff, then this product isn't for you.

And so what if it's a redesign of the old 90s fanny! Nothing wrong with that! This type of product is blowing up in the male-gear space. If you think it's too expensive, then absolutely go for the cheaper variety. I honestly think this is a great price.
Everyone hates a fanny pack until they need a fanny pack. LOL. There's a reason they made a comeback, they are useful as hell.

Lol. These fanny packs "came back" right around the time skinny jeans came into fashion. Coincidence? I think not.

I had the 10L Sling and sold it and just use my 20L Everyday Backpack because the sling didn't make much sense at that size, however to me as a 5L like this it does, small enough to carry stuff like a small camera and whatnot and not be too big or too obvious. Also my personal opinion their V2 stuff is not an upgrade, I think the V1 stuff if better.
I think this is still too big. I don't think a sling should be more than 2L. IMO, anything bigger should just be a messenger bag.

Why are men essentially overvaluing....a purse? There are tons of fanny packs, slings, small backpacks that function all the same and cost 1/5. Seriously, these overpriced pieces are man purses. Label TNF, Patagonia, pd?!?, Louis Vitton...it's a purse, dood. Getting all worked up over...a purse.
Peak Design does put a lot of thought into their gear design and that is reflected in their price. Call it what you will, but their gear is functional.

Looks like good bag but 60$ is way too much for it.
The retail on it is even more at $80 for the current gen.

Lol. Because it IS a fanny pack draped over your shoulder. Period. End of story. #stopthedenial #fannypackpride 🌈
It's actually built functionally different in this size and is hard to wear as a fanny pack due to that.

I bought this same bag about 2 years ago, and it is my go-to bag. I paid $100 for it and consider it money well spent. It holds my Fujifilm X-T2 or my Fujifilm X-T30 with lens attached in addition to one extra lens. Also fits extra batteries, SD cards, plus a few more small accessories.

I'd highly recommend it, especially at this price.

Agree with Bajanboy - I have the 10L sling... while the quality is there.. I just hate the thing. It's kinda big still... hangs off your back kinda strange.. and since it isn't as big as backpack - I'm not sure what it is trying to accomplish. Ready to sell it and call it a loss.... I'd look elsewhere.

Does anyone have the ash color from peak design? Does it show dirty easily?
Not at all, my bag looks brand new, been all over the country and to multiple countries, the material is resistant to stains, scuffs and tears, when I say my bag looks brand new I mean brand new.

I bought a two of "open-box" Peak Design deals from B&H (13" Messenger and Shell) and they were both basically brand new with original tags attached and everything. Not sure what was open-box about it,
