I'd be shocked if this magazine makes it as long as this subscription.

I love it when I'm flying somewhere and I see people buy magazines at the airport, spending more for an issue than I spend for a year's subscription.

Would they technically have to refund the difference if it doesn't make it that long?

Use a prepaid card because these sites are notorious for overcharging or charging after cancellation.

I purchased multiple years of Popular Science when they published monthly - that is 12 issues per year - then they changed to 4 issues per year essentially charging me 3 times as much per issue. The magazine was no larger than the monthly version. It was totally frustrating to attempt to get my subscription extended - their argument was that I paid for a year and I'm getting a year! It just became not worth my time.

As for C&D - worst case is you lose $12 - it's not the end of the world. At $0.25/issue it is cheap entertainment.

I've seen this magazine as well as motor trend on sale many times for $12 on this forum. At least once a year it goes for $10 for a 4 year sub. I never had a problem with my motor trend sub and so far so good with car and driver. Occasionally you see Road and Track for the same price but not as often. Search the forum.

Good luck trying to get that. They could tell you to hit up Discount Mags for the refund if that's who you paid the money to.

I have a subscription to Sports Illustrated which used to be a weekly mag. SI quietly changed to monthly but they didn't extend my subscription or give me a refund even though I'm only getting 12 issues instead of 52.

Entertainment Weekly changed to a monthly and they're still using Weekly in the title.

The nerve!

I take many car magazines, and this is my favorite. I bought my 1973 BMW 2002 specifically because C&D recommended it so highly. I still value their opinions.

Just to let you know a lot of technical specifications are not always posted online. Specifications such as drag coefficient, speed in gears, acceleration in top gear times are not published online at all for some cars.
