It's become a very popular thing for those who either live an active lifestyle or work in an environment where a metal band could cause injury. Two of my coworkers have been degloved because of their traditional wedding band. This was years ago. Almost all of my coworkers now either wear a silicone band or none at all.

I wear one, just not this particular brand.

A lot of people that work with their hands. Silicone is much easier to cut then the hard metals they use in mens rings

Conveyer systems.. Power equipment.. Anything with moving parts where a metal ring can snag onto.. A warehouse doesn't just consist of empty space lol...

Anyone working in a warehouse, construction, service, etc anything that requires any sort of manual labor at all could use these. They're cheap too so why not?

When my wife and I got married she didn't know why I wanted to buy a ring like this. Well, I like many others, work with my hands all day so I can still wear my wedding ring all day long. No fuss, no worries I'll snag it on something. And if I do happen to break it or whatever, it's inexpensive to replace.

I am in roofing sales and production. I'm not even the guy doing the heavy lifting and I wear this just because it's much more comfortable to me than a traditional wedding ring. Albeit mine were like $4 for 4 of them off Amazon. I am on my second one as the first one broke after about 2 years. I had lost it for about a month and come to find out it was in my disposal but thing still worked after that.

No Go for me, biggest size in men's is a 13.

You'd think that if they are presenting these for workers hands they'd at least have something available in bigger sizes.

I won't bore y'all with the value of silicone rings, either you're in the market or you aren't... but I will mention even with these slotted/airflow silicone rings, you can't wear em for days on end without your skin scaling up from sweat under the ring. Taking it off at night fixes this issue IMHO.
I have a half dozen tungsten rings and a couple silicone rings, I take silicone every time unless I expect a streetfight or need to wedge open an Indiana Jones trapdoor.(Also, r*k*ten offers 9% cashback which offsets the shipping a bit)
I work with water and wear a silicone ring with those grooves in it and have never had a problem with what you are saying. I do wonder if it could be a size issue? But I prefer silicone rings because I find them so much more comfortable than my "proper" wedding band.

I work in IT. I've seen people get the hands stuck in racks due to the rings.

Also seen someone rip their ring off and it peel their skin off like peeling a carrot.

My wife wears these when working since she works with special needs children and these won't scratch them if they have to do any restraining.

Just wanted to give a heads up. Some are clearance and some are on sale. It's says that the clearance are final sale and don't get the lifetime warranty. From the website "Please keep in mind all clearance items are not eligible for the Lifetime Warranty."

Don't forget health care. When's the last time you saw a nurse wearing a big rock when caring for a patient? Surgeons can't wear any jewelry when operating.
