Regular price $1498.00. Six hundred off, seems slick...

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...gital.html - $898.00

Same cam with 18-135mm lens is also on sale, at $1200 >$1198, not as good a deal, but if you want the better lens still $400 off

Very bad idea. Spend a tiny bit more for the a6600 and get a way, way better camera with much longer battery life (more than double) and less overheating problems, plus tons of newer features.

I love my a6500 but would recommend a6600 over it. My biggest gripe with a6500 is that the LCD screen doesn't flip all the way over. So the only way I can get a photo of my gf and me is to setup a tripod which isn't always feasible especially while traveling or to give my camera to a friend/stranger who usually doesn't know how to operate the camera. The a6600 fixed this which is the most attractive feature over a6500 to me.

Good deal though for anyone who wants a quality travel friendly camera with in body stabilization (key factor in my choice for a6500 before a6600 was out).

Unless you absolutely need Ibis get the 6400 instead

Good deal, but these cameras get extremely hot when recording video. I highly suggest a Panasonic G9 over this. However, this has a smaller form factor and does video/photos very well

I had thermal and menu issues with the 6500 so I returned it and bought the 6400. No problems whatsoever with the 6400

4K after 10 minutes gets pretty warm, but this is still a solid deal.

I always get torn between the 6400 for it's unlimited recording time and the 6600 for headphone jack and better battery life etc.

Once you use In Body Image Stabilization you will cry every time you shoot without it. Unless you are bound to a tripod all the time, IBIS makes every lens and every shot better. Spend the money on the 6500... or better yet the 6600.

I have an A7iii and a RX10iv but the 6500 or 6600 are great cams (if you are looking for APS-C).

I have three a6500 and never got hot
Even with the no 30 minute limit app have recorded 2hours at a time just open the viewfinder for breather and no problem

Good to hear this. Hopefully they did the same for the 6600
