I felt the same way, but when it arrived I was suddenly so GLAD it was plastic and not glass. Our previous cheap blender has a glass jar and it was pretty heavy, but much smaller than this vitamix jar. I can only imagine what the weight of this one would be if it were galss (way too heavy). Also glass can break, this plastic won't.

But what really made the difference was the quality of the plastic they use. It's very hard - hasn't gotten any scratches yet. It doesn't feel "cheap plastic" it feels very confidence-inducing. It cleans super easily.

Looks like $230 is the lowest this has been on slickdeals. That's a decent amount lower. Think I might wait to see if it goes lower again

I almost pulled the trigger on the 5300 until I found this deal. And this one is cheaper.

I honestly haven't owned one yet, but they are highly rated top of the line blenders with very good warranties. I can't wait to receive it. My kids love smoothies and I want to make peanut butter.

I have a vitamix and it's awesome. I dont know which model I have but I picked it up at costco years ago and it is very easy to maintain and clean and it's way more powerful than any other blender I've used. Just my 2 cents on Vitamix as a brand. Very versatile

They all look same and same motor power, can anyone help explain what's the difference between this one and the Costco e320, beside the personal cups. Thanks

This deal from affiliate link from Lifeisnoyoke already going on for couple months at least, bought mine using the same exact deal couple of months ago.

If you email Lifeisnoyoke, that you purchased from their affiliate link, they will send you email for ebook smoothie and other Vitamix recipes, their YouTube channel also have lots of information about the Vitamix, all their differences between models, recommendations, recipes and such.

Definitely one of the best purchase I've ever made, now I make smoothies regularly for my kids, and they love it, the smoothies texture is night and day compared to Ninja IQ Blender that I used before purchasing the 7500. At full price over $500 is still worth it, especially this deal for under $300 with 5 years warranty is a no brainer.

The reason I'm getting this model, compare to Ascent series or E series, the newer model using a different type of lid, they use transparent plastic that "click" onto the jar, while this older series use black rubber lid that I prefer. The new one also have Bluetooth companion app that you can use to make recipe, and connect to their Bluetooth smart scale, if that's what you prefer.

Whichever model you choose it, get it, it will change your life.

Just wish they gave consumer the choice I don't mind weight at all. I've her my glass jar for like 8 years looks same day 1. And from health perspective I try to avoid plastics where I can. Given how popular these are wish another vendor made an option

The one listed here is the G series which has upgraded airflow for the motor to keep it cooler and it is also supposed to be quieter. The same technology is in their commercial blenders.
