I jumped on this the last time it was this price. Have had them for about two months, pretty happy with them. More configurability than Nest Wifi. Coverage with 2 units is pretty great in our 1900 sqft 2 story house. If you have a big house and need a 3-pk be sure to check ebay. Last time I checked there was a listing for $349, no tax and FS. I still opted for Costco because of their generous return policy, made it easier for me to try them out.
The app is helpful in that it (optionally) notifies you when new devices connect. And the devs are pretty active and transparent in the r/eero subreddit. Also, support is pretty good. Also comes with 12 months of eero Secure[eero.com] ($30/yr value). And you can use the ethernet port for a dedicated backhaul, meaning a theoretically more stable connection from the main unit to the satellite unit.
Two minor nitpicks: each unit has only 2 ethernet ports, one of which you already lose by hooking it up to the internet. Would have liked to have 1 or 2 more. Fixed it by adding a switch, so not a huge deal, but it would have been nice.
The other nitpick is that there is no web interface. I prefer being able to configure stuff on my laptop, but I can only do this via the app. It's a minor inconvenience for me though as you don't really need the app when everything is set up.
Is this the version 2 pro $200 on Amazon each? Regardless if it is the normal costco this would be a great deal then right? I was just about to order two of these on Amazon for $200 each.
Just installed mine and I'm very happy. I found the setup easier and more user friendly than Orbi. The main reason I replaced my Orbi with the Eero is because of the HomeKit Router functionality. I own quite a few smart lights and switches so the HomeKit part gives me peace of mind. I get the same WiFi speeds (wired backhaul) as Orbi.
