Samsonite via eBay has Samsonite Tote-A-Ton Duffle Bags [ebay.us] on sale for $18.99 each but the product currently qualifies for a promotion of EXTRA 15% OFF $25+ (no coupon/code necessary).

Just add 2 bags and discount should be shown in your cart at checkout. FYI - discount seems to calculate based on your total after tax, which varies by location. So before taxes, you're looking at an approximate total of $32.29 for 2 bags (~$16.15 per bag). Free shipping.

This price is comparable to previous frontpage deals that were also in the range of $14-$16 per bag. Currently being sold for ~$28 per bag on Amazon. As of posting, 4 colors are available: Black, Purple, Red, and Turquoise.

Refer to previous frontpage posts for reviews and suggestions on what these bags can be used for - storage, travel, dead bodies, extra bag to keep in luggage during trips. I personally stock up on these mainly to help pack and transport items when I move.

My only gripe about this bag would be that I once tried to use it to carry 2,000 pounds of gold bars (obviously just a fraction of the sweet savings from all my slickdeals) but sadly the bag could not actually support a metric ton as somewhat (fraudulently) implied in its name. Still, I think it's quite a useful large general purpose duffle bag for the price/size/quality. I've been keeping an eye out for these and they only really seem to go on sale randomly a few times per year with limited stock.

Hope this helps someone else. Please feel free to thumbs up and rep if you find useful Peace

Has anyone ever tried checking one of these with an airline? Did it come back in one piece?

I remember this bag in a previous deal at a lower price with comments like low quality thin material...

Lots of reviews on Amazon state that the bag was fine for checking in on flights. I think it should hold up decently as long as you're not overstuffing it to max capacity with heavy items. There is a helpful featured comment from user chunky649 on a previous frontpage thread that provides some good suggestions about this: https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/481255

We used two of these on an airline flight to move from CA to TX a few years ago. Packed each bag with 70lbs worth of clothes only. Both bags made it in one piece. One bag sustained a small tear away from the seams (so probably airline fault). Otherwise held up fine. Used the other one a couple more times on international flights with no issues.

Great deal at the price point.

These are well made. I stuffed more stuff in it than what I can comfortably carry, but the bag held up very well with no sign of tear. This is a soft bag, it's fine to check it in, just pack things properly as it doesn't have a hard shell.

The coupon is back. I ordered two more. I can stuff more clothes in one than I care to carry.
