What is good about this exactly? Only one usb 3.0, pretty old style design, and not that cheap. For $40 I would expect it to have more features.

I would prefer another case like this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SKP16HR

Personally I like that its got no glass panels. Gives it a sleeper look

Yes, it seriously looks dated. That side vent for 80mm fans is something I did not expect ever to see again.

Side vents and 5.25" drive bays for life.

For those that have it, is this quiet? As in: does it vibrate?

Side vents for are actually quite efficient for cooling. Cheap acrylic side windows in "gamer" cases have pretty much killed them off though. I would love to see them make a comeback.

Unless you have a blower style video card, side vents rule. Fractal R5 is probably the best available case with a side vent. This is a decent, cheap case.

It's a 120mm side vent according to the specs.

Only a 92mm rear fan though if you were thinking of mounting an AIO.

They do work sometimes, but sometimes not. I have used quite a few cases with side vents back in the days, mostly cheaper varieties though. On some of them I had a literally zero difference in GPU temperature between having a side fan or not. Second - a pain to wire, especially if you do have a window. For me good front-mounted fans are just as good, they don't mess up the airflow creating local twister pockets, I am all for a good front to rear straight flow.

This thing looks like it came out of the mid 2000s but with a black paint job.

No PSU basement or good drive mount system. Why do we still have 5.25 as the prominent config?

Come on Fractal! We know you can do better, even at this price point.

Companies that are just doing it better for the same price:
DIYPC
Thermaltake
Cooler Master
Deepcool
Rosewill
Phanteks (when on sale)
