iTunes was never part of Ultraviolet, neither was Amazon, Google, or other 1st tier suppliers except for Vudu. That's what made MA so much better. How did you get around it?

...Nevermind, saw that you said it was non Lionsgate movies.
Yeah, I went back to edit my post for clarity. Bad things happen when you type slower than you think

Anyone care to weigh in on "Semper Fi"? OK Movie?

Need to pick a second film to add to "Hurt Locker" (we already have "...Ridge"). Deciding between "Semper Fi" and "The Hurricane Heist."

Thanks!

Hacksaw Ridge is an excellent movie.

Hurt locker was one of the most overrated and inaccurate heavily praised war movies in recent memory.

Interested in hacksaw ridge and hurt locker. I hate how vudu doesn't indicate if the movies are dolby vision + dolby atmos like itunes. So is it? And isn't itunes 4k higher bitrate than vudu?

Don't know about bitrate being higher, but movies do look best on iTunes and MoviesAnywhere (worst on Google Play b/c they don't even play 4K movies in HD somtimes).

Before itunes autoupgraded digital to 4k, movies anywhere sharing to all library, and owning an apple tv 4k (so dumb I can't sell my apple tv 4k or else I lose itunes DV when I already own an nvidia shield for plex), I redeemed mostly on vudu. Past lionsgate films (annoying they don't participate in MA) I redeemed on itunes because of the autoupgraded digital to 4k but only hdx on vudu. So I guess I will claim this on itunes. Owning digital copies are now as annoying as contents being on different streaming service subscriptions.
Vudu has the info at the bottom of the page.

Hacksaw Ridge: 4K, Dolby Vision, HDR10, Dolby Atmos
https://www.vudu.com/content/movi...dge/836699

Hurt Locker: 4K, Dolby Vision, HDR10, Dolby Atmos
https://www.vudu.com/content/movi...ker/174689

If you're worried about being trapped in the Apple ecosystem, Roku (for Android TVs) has an Apple iTunes app now so you can watch iTunes purchases w/o the Apple hardware.

Just want to jump in on the debate about boycotting non-MA movies. Don't blame Lionsgate. Disney runs MA, so God knows what they charge Lionsgate to join. It's the same shit with Disney strong-arming Sony with Marvel's Spider-man IP, but everyone made Sony out to be the bad guy.

If you boycott non-MA movies, you miss out on movies from Lionsgate, MGM, Paramount, and many indie studios like A24 and STX. MGM and Paramount might not have many hits now, but if you look at their movie libraries, it's a lot stronger than what Disney has. If you're content with Disney's animation for children and comic book movies from Disney, Warner Bros., and Sony, then stick with MA only.

Besides, you not only have to think about the future of Vudu but the studios too. If Apple buys MGM or Lionsgate, then their non-MA libraries may eventually be MA too.

Thanks for pointing out the location. Weird I didn't see it on desktop. Maybe I didn't scroll all the way down

Funny how I feel the exact opposite. Hacksaw Ridge with the guy carrying the body as a shield while shooting a machinegun. The combat scenes in that movie were embarrassing compared to Saving Private Ryan. Felt more like Windtalkers.

true story

vs incredibly fake story meant to impress those who don't like "ar14's".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0oX-IfPzKo

from the scene dragging artillery shells out of the ground to the battle of the incompetent snipers, it was worse than a video game.

you are better off black hawk down.

[QUOTE=RowdyReptile;135603620]New titles are up:
https://buy.fanflix.co/c/1fnh9bbe...gn#/select
  • Sicario 92%
  • Cold Pursuit 69%
  • Uncle Drew 62%
  • Draft Day 59%
  • Divergent 42%
  • The Commuter 56%

Edited to add Rotten Tomato scores.

It looks like Sicario is the clear winner in this batch.

I enjoyed Divergent more than the 42% score, but it is the first of a "Hunger Games"-ish series and the last movie was never made. A TV series was contemplated but also never made. You can read the books to get the somewhat of a downer of an ending.
